Wee brainy boffins and bungling blazers

Dundee are enduring zero luck on the injury front.  Following Simon Murray’s ACL injury, the devastating news has emerged that Fin Robertson has suffered the same fate – and tears flowed at the Dee’s training base.   We also have updates on the fitness of Joe Westley and Ryan Finnigan and ask whether the Dark Blues could be forced into the free agent market.   And there’s a deep dive into Dundee’s summer business as we ask whether the club were right to turn down £500,000 for Joe Bevan.  At Dundee United, we reveal how the Tangerines will be maintaining match sharpness ahead of their free weekend and have fitness updates on Mehdi Merghem and Will Ferry.   We also delve into the Terrors’ work in the transfer market – including why Michael Forbes is their signing of the season.   And some of the major questions posed by the squad building are addressed, such as:   Are there enough goals?   Is there enough depth in midfield?  Loads to discuss as host Sean Hamilton is joined by Courier Sport writers Alan Temple and George Cran and ex-Tele Sport editor Graeme Finnan.  NOTE: There was a technical issue in the second half of the Dundee United section – if it sounds like everyone suddenly got a cold, it's on our end, not yours!  You can also see us on YouTube at youtube.com/@TheCourierUK/videos
