TGIF Friends! It is the weekend! We have gotten our first snow of the season today in the Chicagoland area. I have an action packed weekend full of podcast things. I can't wait! A little bit about Connie: My name is Constance Lawson.  I am a wife to my husband Jerry, and we have a beautiful and miraculous blended family.  My call to speak came when I was very young.  As far back as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for speaking.  However, my dream came to an abrupt halt for over twenty years, due to an autoimmune disorder contracted when I was eleven years old.  The resulting devastation has taken much time, pain, and perseverance to overcome.   I know the pain of mental illness, divorce, abuse, infertility, and burying someone you love, as well as the joy of healing and redemption.  In my speaking, I draw on these experiences to help others find within themselves the strength, faith, and ability to overcome whatever is keeping them stuck.   The purpose of my speaking ministry is to help you realize that your worth and value goes deeper than any struggle you have. I’m a huge mental health advocate and I believe the struggles we face are so much more than an irritating inconvenience. I believe they are the backdrop, the platform, the pathway to our greatest good and deepest walk with the Lord. I am a woman of faith.  My love for the Lord is the greatest pursuit of my life, with a close second being my love for my family.  I live by the motto, “Keep moving forward,” because I hate sitting still.  I enjoy doing all kinds of art, bright colors, cooking, and baking, and cold rainy days are my favorite.  Finally, I love people, all different kinds of people.
