Week 51 - The Chronovisor, and Examples of Time Travel in the Bible

Send us Fan MailIn the early 1960s, Father Pellegrino Ernetti and theologian Francois Brune rode together in a small gondola in the waterways of Venice, Italy. Since they had a long ride ahead, the two men began chatting. They discussed their love of ancient languages, history, and sciences, before discussing the Bible. During this conversation, Ernetti said, “There’s nothing to interpret. It’s possible to see what actually happened, to see the truth with your own eyes.” Ernetti goes on to explain that during the 1950s, he had worked alongside Nobel Prize-winning scientist, Enrico Fermi and former Nazi rocket scientist, Warner Von Braun to develop the Chronovisor. This device received signals of light and sounds through various wavelengths and allowed the viewers to witness events in the past, including the crucifixion of Christ. Now, initially, we hear this story and become excited. We think, "At long last! A time machine has finally been invented!" Yet, in this week's episode of the Isaiah 43 podcast, we dive into the claims made in this story. We see if the Holy Scriptures allow for time travel to be an invention that could co-exist with God's sovereignty. We will also examine examples of so-called time travel within the pages of the Bible.
