Week 6: Monday Settling Accounts

In biblical times, kings conducted business on behalf of their kingdoms. This could include anything from investing in existing establishments to new start-up ideas. It frequently dealt with individuals, where one man was loaned a sum of money with a contract to repay the loan in a set period of time. In this week’s parable, the king has his own workers (“slaves”) whom he funds for himself.
