This parable indicates that the vineyard tenants had succumbed to greedand avarice. Matthew 21:37-39 says, “Finally he sent his son to them,saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ But when the tenants saw the son,they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and havehis inheritance.’ And they took him and threw him out of the vineyardand killed him.” After killing the servants by which the owner had sentmessages, they killed His Son as well. Several books have been written byBill O’Reilly and co-authored by Martin Dugard about how people havebeen killed. Almost seven million have been sold.
