Week ahead: US rate decision and Oracle earnings

from In the market for more · host IG Group

The big swing point in the coming week, starting 10 June, will doubtless be the interest rate decision in the US. The Federal Reserve is not expected to move, but with the Swiss National Bank, the Swedish Central Bank and the European Central Bank having cut rates, the starting gun has been fired. The big question is with inflation still simmering, is the Federal Reserve right to wait? There is also a Friday 14th rate decision from the Bank of Japan. Earnings are thin on the ground, but Oracle, still being led by the man who founded the company almost 47 years ago, Larry Ellison on 16 June 1977, reports Q2 earnings after the closing bell on Tuesday 11th. With it being an all-sessions stock on the IG platform is an opportunity to trade the move as it happens. Any opinion, news, research, analysis, or other information does not constitute investment or trading advice. Follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube
