This week Pastor Ben is sharing about the radical inclusivity of Jesus’ statement in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and the life.” In a world that encourages everyone to find their own way, Jesus’ audacious claim leaves many uncomfortable. But who else can show us to God, but God. God is the only one that can lead us to Himself and He demonstrates who He is through Jesus. Jesus makes a way through His death and resurrection, taking the sins of the world upon Himself and He makes a way, by being the way. And that is why the Gospel is so scandalous. Because at the root of it is the idea of grace, and it’s extended to everyone. Each one helps us understand the fullness of what Jesus claimed about Himself and prompts us to answer, “Who do you say that Jesus is?”
