To repeat, means to do again, and adding three means to do something three times. Originally used in American sports, it is now used in football to describe a time when a team wins something, a title, a cup, three times in a row.A Another way of saying this would be 'to win three on the bounce', but as this is also used to talk about winning league games, it doesn't have exactly the same meaningA as three-peat, which would only be used to talk about winning a trophy of some sort.
