Weekly Horoscope: 2 Essential Ayurveda Practices & Full Moon in Virgo/Hasta

from Quietmind Astrology — Learn Vedic Astrology With Jeremy Devens · host Jeremy Devens

The Equinox means we are now in a new season of the year and this is an important time because Ayurveda teaches that “all diseases begin in the transition of the seasons.” This week is especially important to prioritize your healthy habits. You can watch the replay of the free workshop: Ayurveda For The Spring Season now at http://www.quietmind.yoga/springworkshop One of the most important things we can do is create a morning routine. Tongue scraping and drinking water for your dosha is one of the best things you can do to start the day and they are the two most essential parts of my morning practice that I have kept over the years. I give a walkthrough of this in the free workshop and explain a bit more in this week’s podcast. This Sunday we have a Full Moon in Virgo in the nakshatra of Hasta. The full moon each month is a time of reflection, completion of a cycle and celebration. The nakshatra / division of the sky known as Hasta means “hand” and is symbolized as a hand. Our hands are what make us human and hold many significant symbolic meanings. The 28 joints of all the fingers represent the 28 day lunar cycle of each month. The 5 fingers together represent the 5 elements and the 5 senses. The 4 fingers represent the 4 aims of life: dharma, artha, kama and moksha with the thumb being our ego / identity / free will to choose how to engage with the karmas that play out in our lifetime. Vedic Astrology helps us see what karmas are playing out and how. If you want to know how this effects you personally look to which house Virgo occupies in your birth chart. Those ares of your life are the ones to reflect on and celebrate. Don’t know your birth chart? Get a free chart at quietmindastrology.com - want a full interoperation and insight into what it all means for you and your life path? Get the Vedic Astrology Foundations course or Schedule a 1-1 reading at that same link. This weekend is a time to reflect, rejoice and celebrate the path that you are on. Reflect on this past month and how you have grown in relationships with Venus being exalted. Reflect on how your routines and disciplines have evolved with Saturns strong influence over the past year. Rejoice and celebrate who you have become and who you are becoming as we move into a new phase of hope, optimism and expansion in April.
