We found a third stalling point I'd never named, sitting alongside two I already knew well. In this episode, I walk through all three: the notebook person, whose brilliant ideas die quietly in notebooks because they never find the business language to carry them forward; the builder, who does everything we're told to do in business — the logo, the website, the SEO, the ad campaigns — without ever testing if anyone actually wants what they're selling; and the finisher, who builds the entire offer, launch sequence and all, fully complete, and never once brings it into real life. Three different stalling points. Three different reasons behind them — chasing novelty, avoiding ambiguity, and protecting against the threat of being told no.
