Our will and God's will is that of perfect happiness where there are no needs or wants. Our shared being is more like a song and when we make idols out of the specifics in this world we lose track of the song. We lose track of love because love is abstract and not specific. Rocketman is a fictional story about Elton John's life and how he lost himself in idols as a substitute for love. When Elton shares feelings of shame about how he has hurt people, his holy companion Bernie does not join Elton in that perception of guilt. Bernie is a symbol of how we all have that power to be the ones who can see innocence, and not buy into the error. We can begin to use memory, an ability developed by the ego, to remember the present moment, the holy instant, instead of valuing the past and linear time!
