Weigh Your Words

Jesus had so much to say about the words we speak, as does all of scripture. First… Words are an overflow! Jesus said that “the mouth speaks what the heart is full of…” .Words are a substance! “A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.” Words need to be weighed! We live in a culture and time that would encourage us to unleash our words onto people and spaces with us much passion and fury as we deem necessary. However Jesus (John 14:10, John 6:63) demonstrates a life, a mouth, submitted to His Father. If Jesus weighed His words, how much more should we!?
