Welcome everybody to episode 10 of Weird Adventures in Space, the SHU Podcast's very own sci-fi superhero show. I didn't mean to make that a tongue twister, but I did. My name is JAM, the GM here on the show. That means I post and I narrate, but I also leave these players through the game we're playing, which is a tabletop RPG.

While we're gonna present this to you as like something like a radio drama, we are gonna be rolling dice and the dice are gonna determine what happens in the show. Now before I get into the real meat of stuff, I should probably let everybody introduce themselves. Hello, I'm here to entertain you. Are you entertained?

Hey, I'm Logan. I play IKETA. Hi, I'm Rob. I'm playing shop and I'm ready to be entertained.

I was like, I'll be playing Arlu Hu for this episode. It's not a great episode of their IKETA emoji because they're a vegetable. Hi, I'm Bailey. I'll be playing Carrie.

And are you not entertained? Ooh! I'm Tony. I play Greg.

And I'm typically entertained by most things. So last episode, our brave team of superheroes just narrowly stopped a prison break of the most dangerous felons in the Milky Way. And now they got to clean up the aftermath. They've got one member who's been split open and vivisected like a pig.

And worst of all, now one of our characters has to go talk to his dad. It's episode 10 of Weird Adventures in Space, the Prisms of Pluto. So the episode opens in an operating room, an operating room on Mars, specifically in the colony of Red Hills that the Union occupies. One of the Union's team members, Arlu, is laying on the slab and they have been cut open right through the rib cage like a hot knife through butter.

Standing next to Arlu is Dr. Duda, the Union's attending physician. She's doing everything she can to get the situation stabilized. But Arlu is leaking and pouring this strange blue magical energy out of her chest.

And it seems to be affecting all of the electrical instruments in the room. She only just nearly got through the teleporter with Arlu and Greg as the electricity ruined the teleporter, meaning the other team members have been stuck on Mercury. In this moment, Greg, you're kind of walking through and running through this dramatic experience on Mercury where you're in a robot. So you're seeing this basic superhero witch on an operating table and the doctor can't even turn on her basic instruments.

You've had about 10 seconds since you walked through the portal to the scene, she rapidly threw Arlu on the slab. And now she's looking at you and going, this shit's all turning off, Greg, what are we gonna do? Oh, well, I guess I'm concerned someone wrong with the shielding in the room. These rooms are supposed to be shielded.

I guess so, and every time she gets near something, it just shuts it right off and burns it right out. I'm worried we won't even have time before we start losing oxygen. At that moment, the cape, the blood-soaked cape of Arlu steps off of her body and transforms into a large cat with horns on it around what, six feet in line? Now, let's go with Nia, sounds cooler.

And she jumps into the room and says, I have an idea, but you'd have to trust me, and I don't know if you would trust a cat. Trust you to what? Fix the shielding? No, it's not the shielding, it's the magic pouring out of her body.

We have to get her to her people. They're gonna know how to fix this up. Alright, well, yeah, I guess, I guess we can trust you. I mean, I don't understand why what all this interference is from, and if what we have here can't fix it, then it can, right?

So, we gotta do what we gotta do. Dr. Dudad rips an amulet off of Arlu's neck and shows it to you, Greg, and says, I think this is why the cat's concerned, because Arlu's people live in a city, a miniature city, on the end of her necklace. And if we were gonna go in and try to take care of her, we'd have to shrink down.

I've got the technology to do it, but if you've never shrunk before, it's not always a pleasant experience. Right, well, I have never shrunk before. I mean, I've been through quite a bit, but yeah, Shrinkin's gonna be a new one. And she says it's honestly not that scary.

It's kind of cool. But I mean, look, I'm gonna ask for your help here on this one, Greg. I'm out of luck. I need to operate on her.

And that means I might have time to talk or manage anything, you know? Alright, you down? Let's do it. Let's go.

Alright, she picks up Arlu and puts Arlu over her shoulder, Wally, the cat steps out, places the chain onto the ground, Dudad flips a switch, and all of you shrink and go into the bottled city. Right in the orbit of Mercury, President Goryo of the Cosmic Coballs ship sits in orbit, docked to a ship, belonging to Union member, Akita. As Akita steps into the ship, Adel scarred from his fight with Prince Killix, leading everywhere. He's also missing teeth out the front of his face.

One nice punch from Prince Killix left you that nice memento. Kita, you're staring across the room from a man you once called your father, a man now calling himself President Goryo. He's been injured in a fight with Boson Beta, and he seems to be wearing some sort of a presidential regalia like a general. He looks at you and goes, my son.

Oh no, you don't get to call me that. I understand. 20 goddamn years. That's a long time.

I thought you were dead for 20 years. I felt like I was dead for about 20 years. Turns out you just abandoned us. Not at all, not at all.

Oh really? Oh, I've been pining for you. I've been waiting for you. You can ask anyone on your team.

They've seen it. Yeah, I've heard about it too. From your team. Oh, a pew-s allowed on a miscomputer?

No. I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw in. You have teammates that are worried that you're getting too obsessed with finding us. Well, I'm the last one you found me.

My right hand man. I should have understood that that that's chasing the impossible and yet I was right. And you're here and you're standing in front of me, which means that I have the smallest chance to explain myself and make up for the things I've done. For these 20 year old scars on you.

I'm a proud of that, Kita. You shouldn't be. And all I'm willing to do is do whatever I can to make up for. I have a story to tell, but I'm not going to tell it to a crowd that's hostile.

You need to know that you can trust me first and I know that's a long walk. I'm not going to be able to trust you. Not for a while, at least. You got to understand that.

But you have people that look up to you and trust you that you need to take care of. They don't look up to me. They're trying to stab me in the back. You think that enormous purple clown wouldn't break my neck the moment he had the opportunity?

Of course he would. He'd say as much to my face. When I heard you are a great leader that's obsessed with something that he threw away and that your obsession is going to run your little cabal into the ground. That'd be so bad for that.

This organization with a legacy of misery and violence to be put out of his misery. I'm not a mad king, Kita. But I'm incredibly guilty for the trespasses that I've built up over the years. And maybe if I can take that cabal and put it to good use, I can erase some of that debt.

Well, then let's see it. He walks over to the computer and types in a few things. You see a zoomed out map of the galaxy, the Milky Way with all 14 planets. He points out on the screen to these golden traces of light that seem to be intermittently linked to the planets like spider webs.

And he says, these are the shipping routes for the cabal's goods. This is where we move. Anything that needs to move between the planets, it's a safe passageway for light rail travel that has been cleared out by the cabal. That's how we can get things back and forth so easy and it's why we don't need a bother with Earth.

These lines are yours, Kita. Use them as your life. When Rhaegor comes, I will rush to your side. For now, that's all I ask.

Then let me be truthful with you. Clearly, I'm not dead. Because I paid a fixer to fake my death. I did the same for your mother.

I wanted to protect her from this life. I haven't seen her in years. And he thought the best thing would be to take her away from her to children. No, I thought the best thing was to be with her sister and with the rest of the family.

Clearly, I had too much blood on my hands. I was risk fighting through the bars and traveling from planet to planet, robbing whoever would get my way and just burned out every pleasure center in my brain in the process. I ran away because I was afraid and I'm trying to come back a little bit. We all have to deal with getting older in our own ways, right?

Yes, so. I'm going to go out of my way to do everything I can to help you and your team. To get this menace out of our space system and I hope to prove to you in the process that I can be trusted. For a bigger purpose than you or me because the only place either of us will find comfort.

I must get back to Venus, but you're welcome to use those rails for light travel. I would suggest that you take your injured friends home. If Raghor is stationed up on Pluto, they'll protect their assets. You're all at a good risk by going there.

I'm sure you know that. In fact, I don't know if I would. He looks around to the room. He looks at Wayfair.

He looks at Kerry. So are you going to be heading to Pluto? She's been staying at her arm this whole time. Yes, you had your arm locked up by Mirage a couple episodes ago.

I just lost my forearm again. I don't know that I'm in any kind of shape to be fighting, honestly, and I hate to say that to you guys because I just joined. Well, I got the ass kicked out of me, obviously. All right, fair.

But I'm fairly sure they can replace teeth better than they can replace the way you're still bar. Prison girl looks at Wayfair. What will you do? Well, I guess I feel like we should probably strike while the iron is hot.

Although, I do see that we're in a bit of a state. I can send troops to back you up. They won't be in orbit, but they could be there for extraction and emergency help. It's at least I could do.

Raghor's a menace that needs to be wiped out. Well, if Wayfair is going, then I'm going. I already missed out on this little adventure. Fair enough.

I'm not going to bend in my team again. Sean was able to get a shuttle up to the ship, and so he arrives and walks in the room when Wayfair is making the decision to strike while the iron is hot. So right after they're all looking at each other deterministically and trying to figure out what to do, Sean, you walk in the room a little bit, a little worse for wear, but not too bad. Hey, you want to go to Pluto?

This round going to hit every time in the system, I'll talk. See you like it. Cool, Pluto it is. Okay.

I guess we're going. President Goryo says I'll send backup for you. You should be able to take these light rails right to Mars and then right to Pluto afterwards. This ship makes getting around the galaxy hell a lot easier for you.

All right. He approaches you as everyone's walking out of the room and says, thank you for hearing me out. I understand that you don't trust me, but it is a great comfort to know that you were still alive. Well, from what I heard, I'm the kid that took this meeting the best.

Because you're the only one good thing I ever did. Kind of downplaying Majin, aren't you? I love Majin, but he needs help. He leans on everybody else.

He doesn't have his feet under himself. I'm like you do. You know what's important to you. For God's sake, he's dedicated your life to saving people.

The hell do I have on my resume other than things I can be ashamed of? Well, you have taught my team, so. Then I'll put one in the column for me. Go get him.

Kick their ass. Carrie, both you and Elbido were dropped off on Mars by the rest of the team. He's got a big cut across his body and when you get off the ship and you get off the carcass, he says to you, hey, I can show you where you can get fixed up very quick if you need a therapist or something. That would be great.

I've technically only been on this planet for like a week, I think. Okay. I still don't really know where anything is. Also, this is going to sound really stupid.

Can we get cigarettes on this planet at all? Oh, yeah, for sure. I mean, there's no point in building something for yourself about indulgences. I mean, I can get cigarettes and I can eat big hamburgers and I can do whatever the hell I want.

Hell yeah. Kind of kind of a weird place. I'm not used to that. I mean, I'm down for it.

I just, it's just one of those things that like, have you come back the first time just consequences don't seem to have any real meaning because as far as I know, I can't die because I haven't stayed dead. I feel yeah. So why not smoke if it calms me down and then I don't have to take more pills than our nest. And she's shaking the whole time.

She's having this conversation, but she's still walking with him. You're taking the long way around so that you can have some privacy while you're crying and he's kind of directing you away from the main circuits. But while you're walking around and talking, he takes off his mask and just introduces himself as Elbido. He goes, I don't really go by any other name.

He's a East Asian man in his late 40s. He's very scarred in the face. He's seen some things he looks tired and hangdog and especially since he's got a big cash process. I will go to shake his hand but then immediately realize that I have to switch hands.

I'm still not used to using my hero name. My hero name is Lotus, but you can call me Carrie. I'll call you both I guess, right? You got the costume name and the non-costo name?

Like yeah. Basically, you know, if we're in the battle, probably not a safe thing to call me by my my city name. I'd like to avoid the battle if possible. I usually do too, but it doesn't really seem to be a something I can do anymore.

He walks into the clinic the Marcus Alonzo Rehabilitation Clinic, which is an experimental clinic built on Mars by Dr. Jude and the Union's medical physician. She had a vision of an all-encompassing medical care facility where you can get anything from therapy to just simple bed rest, physical training, etc. is free for anyone to use.

A lot of people when they're injured, even union members, will go to this rehab facility because it is designed around meta-powered people and aliens who may have abilities different than humans. He goes, I'm gonna go walk off to my room. I already got a place here. This is where I'm staying.

Just trying to get better, you know. If you ever need anything, come and get me a third floor, third floor from the left. Thanks. I appreciate it.

Of course. The receptionist says, hi there, Mrs. Lotus, can I help you? Yeah, so and she's kind of waves her arm against you.

I've come part of my crystal arm blown off, and I think there's weird energy stuck in there, and the whole time her voice is getting slowly higher and higher. I'm like, can I, after I get patched up, is there anything I can talk to? Yeah, I'm having a lot of feels right now. You hear her make the clackety computer noise, you know, keyboard noise?

That's a good ASMR. And then she goes, oh honey, how many arms is that? This, I mean, if I get a new one, that'll be our number four. Four arms?

How do you know about the other ones? Well, I'm looking at your union file. I have a file. Everyone has a file.

You're not using the union database? Oh my gosh, girl. I went from high school to community college to hero league. I wasn't even planning on becoming a superhero.

Well, it's how you went. She hands you over a tablet and it has the whole union database on it, along with a bunch of other things. And she says, you can always look through this. People love looking at it, you know, the superhero stuff and the supervillain stuff.

Kind of brings up some comfort. But since you're a union member and you have elevated permissions, you can actually look into the case file and stuff. It's good thing to do if you're going to be laid up for a while. Yeah, thanks.

That sounds actually really helpful. I'll put you on the second floor, third from the left. And if you just want to go take a seat and maybe catch your breath, we'll have some people into some basic physical stuff and then send it there. Just in when they get some free time this afternoon.

Thank you. I appreciate that. Of course. And she waves to go by and she goes, hey, and you can leave any time.

It's a follow to you. Okay. Thank you. I'm not used to this.

This is fun. I like this. She's just muttering to herself that she's walking. All right.

So the rest of the team. Wayfarer, Akita, Sean, you stopped by Mars to drop off. Obito and Kiri in the process. You picked up Isne, the Sananday witch that's been hanging out in Red Hills.

She rushed to the spaceship upon arriving and basically taught her way into going with. And she says, I know I'm not a member of the team, but I can listen to all your communications. So I don't know. I'm just sure what I want to.

Hey, I'm good with that. Okay. And I think I can help. She looks over at Sean and goes, I have a lot of teaching between here and Pluto.

I've been reading a lot. Yeah, that would be great. She skips onto the car guys and goes, nice bones. Thanks.

Took a lot of work to get it back up and run it. Well, it looks like a beaut. It's better than the weird skeleton guy had it. Yeah.

So y'all take off towards Pluto. And I'm going to assume that y'all like step into the surgery thing that do dad left you so you get all your stitches put together and all that stuff before you and fight. Seems good. Yeah.

Okay. Well, I'll let everybody heal to full. If that's the case. Hey, Akita, you step out of this surgical matrix with a little bit of a change.

Oh, as do as you step out, a little AI, Holo field pops out and you can see Dr. Dudad playing a recorded message and it said, we can't really replace your teeth. So I gave you some unbreakable polymer diamond based teeth. Is that cool?

Yeah, fucking sweet. Did you just say it kind of has a... Sweet. They'll look like real teeth, but you know, God help anyone trying to break them.

You know, learn bite. And then she goes, this has been a pre-recorded message and then falls off of her chair. On the ship's route in Wayfarer, what are you doing? I'd say it takes about an hour and a half to get there from ours.

That's what the benefit of like real is giving you. I guess maybe I will try to do some research on what Pluto is like. Oh, that's a good idea. Can you make me a context role?

Why? You are able to find some information about Pluto in the Union database, but not much. It is a very cold place as far as anyone knows. It has not been visited by any Union members.

The few probe drones that were sent to investigate the planet were destroyed upon entry in the atmosphere. Seems good. Do we have a drone or something that we could maybe try to send down to the surface before we go? Yeah, absolutely.

I will look into figuring out how to use that thing. The AI pops up. Hello, Akita? Oh, you're not Akita?

Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello.

Hello. Hello. Hey. Hi.

My name is Wevere. Great. I'm the ship's AI. I can help you with anything you need on the ship.

Oh, cool. I guess we're going to Pluto. Would you be able to help me fly this little drone down through the atmosphere to make sure that it's stable for us? Sure thing.

Cool. Thank you. Great teamwork. I agree.

Do you know anything about Pluto? No. Okay. One of the orcs that's working there as the ship's crew goes.

I know about Pluto. Okay, stay on me. It's real fucking cold and there ain't a lot of living things there, so you might want to bundle up. You can be careful getting through that atmosphere, but once you're on the ground is pretty solid, but there ain't much there except fucking gems, man.

Gems. Okay, that's interesting. Ship AI. Do we have snow suits?

I can absolutely tailor your existing costumes to be more maneuverable in colder weather. I'll take it. But AI had sent some bots out to essentially make an Arctic adventure version of everybody's outfits. So you have like fake fur collars and big hoodie covers and you just get a big pair of glasses.

He didn't need that. He's already covered in fur. Oh, no, he can walk around shirtless if he wants to. Sean, what do you do with this time?

I'm going to go visit his mate, see if I can find out what she's learnt and learn anything with her. When you go to see her, she's looking at one of the sideboards of the ship, just kind of looking as the light speed passes by. Do you know what Sean? How's it going?

Going all right, I thought someone basically died a few hours ago and now we have to put out. That's what you can expect, yes. God, that sounds so hard. So you said you had learned some things that you could teach me?

Do you remember that I left you a flower? And that flower was supposed to have a bunch of, um, egetic memories stored in it, the knowledge of our people? Yes, yes, it gave me a lot of information about everything, basically. The reason why I left that to you is I went to grow them, meaning that I can pass that knowledge on to others.

And I've been studying that knowledge. And I think you and I might be magic. I mean, that would explain things. Yeah, from what I could tell, in ancient times, the Sananday would travel to bear in planets and use their innate abilities, their just innate selves to create life on those planets, using old rituals, etc.

We were cedars. I'm wondering if you and I could take advantage of those old ways sometimes. Maybe if we, uh, I don't know, maybe if we trained together, we'd be able to figure something out. Yeah, that sounds good and we can help Mars grow.

Oh, that's a great idea. The guy you work with, Greg, he was really excited about that. Yeah, that's great. Hey, if you want me to help you out any way you seem hurt.

I don't know, it's just so much just happened and so quickly, I don't even know what I need right now. Should we still be going to Pluto? I feel like we're a few people short and we're all beat up a little bit. Yes, whatever's happening on Pluto is important and it needs to be dealt with.

Right now, we're available. I think that means we should go. Makes sense to me. Well, I've always respected that about you.

Since of duty. So I'm right here with you. And you two just kind of wait to arrive in the atmosphere. Greg, a doctor, do that and Wally, the guardian beast all shrink down into the city.

Greg, when you get there, you look around, do that looks around. You see what kind of resembles medieval Europe? Lots of mud brick stone buildings with banners and flowers hanging out the windowsills. And the streets aren't paved.

They're cobblestone held together by some sort of black tar-like substance. And in every way resembles a sort of far off world, but one that seems a little feudalistic. Hmm. Do that looks to you and goes, we just got to get to somebody.

And Wally, the cat says the elder council that's who hardly works for the palaces up here. I can take you. If you're willing to hop on my back, I'll race you there. All right.

Oh, yeah. I guess I hop on her back. Just a straight up cat. All right.

Do that and Greg hop on Wally's back. Greg, you can hold on to Wally's horns to get some handlebars up there. All right. She takes off at about 80 miles an hour.

And you are constantly like drifting through alleyways and climbing up buildings and jumping off a rooftops and ship. But you're safe. So eventually she takes a big leap over the walls of the palace where the elders wait. So jump, basically jumping over the guard tower and then Sonic the Hedge's hog.

The Hedge's hog. I just like Sonic the Hedgehogs right through the front gate entrance, blowing the doors open, blowing into the council's room, stopping right in front of the council's desk. There's a triumvirate council members, these three older aminites, each with a different brilliantly colored skin tone. They all looked down at you and go, interlopers, what are you doing here?

This is highly unlikely. Unlikely? Unworth the knocks. Irregular.

How you said the word I said. We're here to get my friends some help here. Oh, no, the chosen one. What have you done to her?

I didn't do anything, but she's pretty roughed up. Palace guards, they grab and pick Arlu up and then it says, bring the interlopers to the prison. Greg, do you resist rest? No, I don't resist, but I try to explain it.

We're not we're not airlopers. I just came along with the cat here to help our friend. I don't know if this is the right form to bring up my objection to this arrest, but. He says, you must be kept away from the rest of us, but we make sure that you're not a threat.

At this point, I exercise my right to remain silent. On the atmosphere of Pluto, the carcass is orbiting. You do get sort of like a text message from the cosmic cabal that your backup is on the way. They're just behind enough so that they don't set off radar.

And, wayfarer, your little probe drone that you had the ship sent down, it comes back with a clear image. Pluto is a planet made out of a lot of gems and metals, but they act in ways that those gems and metals do not on Earth. So you've got bronze beaches, you've got diamond ocean. It seems like a harsh environment, almost like a cold desert, but it does seem viable, like it could support the ships away and like you could land safely.

Okay, I guess let's try to land. That is a plus three. Okay, so you break atmosphere. You're up in what would be the stressier, and you can see that the sky is largely clouded with these gems and with whatever moisture exists within them.

But suddenly, I need to make a second pilot roll, because an enormous dragon that has the body of a heron is trying to buzz your ship. What the hell is it plus four? The crystalline bird dragon buzzes the side of your ship, but your ship does survive. So it seems like your descent is going to be a hell of a lot harder now, but you're not knocked out.

I need one more piloting roll to safely land. You just got sullied. It is a plus three. Your ship crashes into a diamond ocean, but not too deep into it.

It's kind of floating on the top of the surface tension in the water. Or what looks like water? You notice the ship say alert alert, we need to get out of this. The ship itself is becoming encrusted in gems the longer it sits in the water.

Oh, that's not good. Is there a beach nearby? Yeah, there's something like it, but you probably need to push the boost or something or give it some gas because you are very quickly getting in case. Yeah, I'm going to hit that boost.

Hit the boost to get through. Yep. The ship is injured, but you are safe. It's unsure whether or not it could take off.

You'd have to actually get out and make a look. Yeah, damn it. We just got this thing up and running. Oh, well, we're safe on the ground for now.

Everybody go ahead and get your bearings about you. You just did a crash landing, but one where everyone stayed safe. The orcs are just thrilled that you got to crash and then thrilled that there's no life. On the way here, he will have changed back into his original white suit.

Does anybody want to see it? As many go and grab his from the stitchpot and shamo copies as well. I was going to suggest that I go out because if anything in the air is lethal, I might be able to neutralize it faster than anybody else. All right, wait for you.

You can get out. It's a little off like, it's a little chilly. There's a lot of wind, but it's actually not too bad. It seems like there is some oxygen in the air, although it would be the equivalent of like trying to breathe during a windstorm.

It's just hard to get your full breath and you feel a little zap. I'll phone into the spaceship until everybody'd pick up a muffler. You see the glint of some bronze metal in the sky about half miles from you. Can I fly up to trade to get a better look?

Once you get about halfway through, you and the metal objects meet up with each other. Soon it's like you were seeing the tint of a bronze lance. And that lance is attached to a plutonium who is using it to guard his hand and has a weapon. The plutoniums are flying on these strange alien creatures that resemble crystalline manta rays that glide through the sky, all sorts of different purples and blues and yellows reflected inside of them.

The plutoniums themselves are silver, white, gold, different shades. They are crystalline in shape and form. They certainly don't look human, although they do have two legs, two arms. Their heads resemble enormous disco balls, ever sharing ever rotating spheres of light and metal.

And each of them has a different colored aura around their head. They wave to you. Now wave back. Okay.

Will you let them approach you? Sure. The plutonium says, things must be really bad on Earth if the union came out all this way. You know about the union?

We plutoniums know about the union, yes. Okay. I didn't know about you guys. We come in peace.

Same. Can we join you somewhere where it's not so windy? Uh, sure. You want to come aboard my spaceship?

Love to. Okay. And we go. They all move as one at the same time.

The one you were talking to fades back into the group and a new member fades up to talk to you and says, thank you for your generosity. It has not been a good time on Pluto recently. I've heard that you guys have a bad case of the Reich or corporation. We have heard rumors of troops wandering troops being scooped up by some human woman and brought to the South Pole.

That's not good. We don't know how to fight such a thing. And we don't know how a human woman would ever survive this environment. It's who I think it is.

She's no ordinary woman. And we are in grave danger. We're here to try to help with that. You're the wayfarer, right?

Yep. We have no names, but we are grateful. You guys, okay. If I call you the plutoniums.

They all say yes at the same time. Cool. Right at then. So you and the plutoniums land over to the carcass.

The carcass scans the mass plutoniums that they're known species. And they all enter the ship and say, Jotayans, Sananday, Baiken. This is fascinating. And we got a crew.

All of them look around the room at the same time in unison. There's about 15 of them. Everybody, is there the plutoniums? And they say, why is the union here?

We're here to try to stop the right car corporation. We've tracked one of their members coming here. We believe they have a base here. That's true.

We're all in great danger. Plutoniums, like us, carry funds of energy inside of ourselves. These are heavily charged diamonds of cytoprism. They're wanting through the galaxy as quasar prisms.

The right car corporation may be harvesting us for that purpose. Sounds like we don't have a lot of time to waste then. The plutoniums look at Akita and then at Cham. Who are they?

This is Shown. He can get really small or really big, and he likes plants. And this is Akita. He's cool.

I punch things really hard. Two of the plutoniums in the crowd will hold their hands up and go, yeah, and then slowly put them down. The plutoniums approach you, Sean, and say, a Sananday. Have you come to see our planet?

Not that's not what you want. We have long dreamed of someone coming to bring life into this planet. Everything on Pluto is nonorganic. If you saw any beasts, they are beasts of crystal.

Do you see any water in this water of crystal? We have a dry and barren life. But we can guide you to the south pole. I think I'm good with that plane.

Tell me where to go. They say, allow us brief moment of time, and we will bring you beasts of burden. We will also call additional plutoniums to repair the damage done to your ship. We are very handy with such things.

Thanks, y'all. Of course. You got about a half hour to wait. Does anyone do anything in the half hour of time?

If the weather outside is windy and like filled with gems, Akita might look for like a base starring, like a cedar mask. Yeah, yeah, you can definitely get one of those. I'm going to go outside and make a snowy angel. Sean, you and Izmay are quite an object of fascination with the plutoniums.

And if you allow them to, they're going to be asking you questions the entire time. On to the best of my building. They're just asking you basic questions, like what are trees, like what are flowers, like what are vegetables, like you know, stuff that you obviously familiar with. But to these folks who have completely non-organic understanding of the world, the idea that things like fall off and die is fascinating.

You get the sense from talking to them, Sean. They are very, very intelligent and have a lot of good intent in speaking to you. Can I have you make an empathy role? Sure.

That is a plus four on empathy. You can see that whatever fears that they have about Raghor, the union has brought them a sense of hope and peace. Just even for half hour here while they're sitting here asking you questions. It's meaningful interaction for the plutoniums, even if you're feeling a little out of it.

You do that and while we have been locked in a concrete jail cell with iron bars for a good hour or so. All right. How do you pass the time? There's two or three guards in the room.

They seem to be dressed in a silver armor, somewhat like a night wood. I asked the guards how long this is going to take. How long can you keep me in here? I didn't do anything because I try to help your friend.

Just stand me in here until what? The guard says we'll have to wait to hear back from the council. I believe they are currently observing Arlo's surgery. So it's a waiting game for you and me, buddy.

Well, typically how long is this take? I mean, I guess the entire council has to watch the procedure and all, but I mean, what are they going to do anyways? Our holy books don't tell us anything of what happens when the chosen was threatened. This is our one last good hope bleeding out on the concrete.

I don't know what it is. I just told you it's OK. Same here. And that was the concern when we first showed up here.

So it's just kind of weird to be thrown into the situation. But that's not to do. I can't help blocking this cell right here. Do that's down on the ground trying to fix her arm and just kind of cussing.

Like, I don't want to fucking be here. Why am I in the wood? And while she's just kind of angry, you hear a loud noise. And then when you go to look towards that noise, a door at the top of the stairs gets kicked open.

And you can hear what sounds like one of those nights being thrown down the stairs. That's rough. So yeah, I look over there and see what's going on. I'm interested in a brilliant blue waistcoat.

He's got dark cherry red skin, a little like a R-Loo, but maybe a little more put together. Thank you for that. You're welcome. He does a big jumping tumble off of the staircase and then immediately uppercuts the second guard in chaos.

Then then grabs the third guard by the back of the head and smashes their face into the iron bars. He then dusted his hands and goes terribly sorry about all that. I've got R-Loo if you'd like to join me. All right.

Well, yeah, let's go. Let's get out of here. You see him spin his wrist a little bit and the locking mechanism on the door gate opens up. It's covered by this like blue energy that you may have seen when R-Loo uses her powers.

The lock opens itself up. The door swings itself out like you're in Fantasia or something. And he introduces himself. Hello, I'm his Taelyn and I am R-Loo's mentor.

Hey, Taelyn. I'm Greg and as I do this, I immediately just start to like crawl onto his back because I guess that's how we do stuff now. Thinking we're gonna just jet out of here. He looks down at Dr.

Dudan and goes, is this a typical human transportation? And Dudan looks up and goes only when you're bored. Taelyn opens up a portal, essentially like a giant glowing portal. This portal will take us to Arlu.

Although, one thing first, he weighs his hands a little bit and you see that blue energy pick up the guard that was thrown down the stairs and they're rolled back up the stairs. The guard who got knocked out gets unknocked up and stands right back up on their feet. The guy who was smashed into the cells gets pulled back, undamaged and then the cell neatly locks itself tight. And he says, we are time stichers, not time breakers.

Anything I do has to be fixed or else we can be in some dire consequences. Okay. But they're about to figure us out. So let's get the hell out of here.

So then I hop on his back. Let's go, buddy. He hops through the portal with you on his back. You on did all that?

You just did it, guys? Because they were, I mean, thanks for getting me out of there. You kind of roughed them up. I think they were just doing their jobs, you know?

They let me know, Harm. I ended the damage to them with a twist of time. Everything I do is going to affect the time stream somehow. I just have to be a responsible conservationist of it if you understand that.

Oh, I got you. Okay. Sorry for all the questions. It's just been a weird day.

You're talking to each other while you're traveling through the portal and then you both fall out of the portal out onto the floor of a well lit bar. It looks like an old fashioned tavern with ornate wooden carvings everywhere. Do you add immediately books it for the bar and goes, I've got dibs. While Wally just walks over to the table in the middle of the room.

The table in the middle of the room, you can see Arlu is on it. And four Amun, who are similarly dressed like Taelyn, seems to be doing some sort of magic surgery on Arlu's body. I'm going to go towards the surgery and just try to get a vibe on if it's going, if it's going well or not. Taelyn walks with you to the table and says, it seems like our friend Arlu here was hit with a cursed weapon.

It's not enough to just extort on a physical level. We had to bring these lyrics in to stitch her together on a metaphysical level. Right. Not sensical to humans, but all of us Amun are fueled by magic.

Our plates are our own. That's a sob story for another day. We just rescued this young lady. So I'd say we're in line for toast.

Taelyn takes a running leap behind the bar and then starts mixing up drinks and serving Grog and all that fun stuff. That partake. It looks like after 10 or 15 minutes of just fucking around in the bar, the stitches all walk away from the table and they say, Wally, I think she's going to be good in a few minutes. She took a lot of curse energy into her soul, but I think we were able to exercise it before it got too deep.

She might feel a little bad and she might have existential crises, but she should be okay. Goody. All right. At that moment, Arlu wakes up screaming.

Oh, that must be the existential crisis. That kicked in quick. Is that permanent? Arlu, you look around and realize, wait, you're fine actually.

You guys see beer? Oh, yeah. I'm going to ask for one. Taelyn magically tosses you a mugful of cold beer.

Does he tosses it at my good arm or my bad arm? He tosses it at your good arm, but he also is using magic so it doesn't spill. And he says, drink up old friend, you look to see another day. Great.

The others got a hold of your body, but I got in there and did a little magic so to speak. They will probably be coming for you. I mean, what's new? I'm just going to drink up here.

I kind of look down at my clothes to see that they're all playing this game. I like that shirt. Is that all that's here? It's just alcohol.

I mean, when's the last time anybody here has had something to eat? Taelyn says, of course, we have a feast and he does a little magic and some food appears. All right. I'll grab some bread.

I'm kind of investigating, so you have all my bones are back in my body. Well, it seems like Doo-Ded was able to fix the minor stuff, the physical stuff. The real problem was the fact that Mirage's weapon is cursed. All of your ribs sticking out of your body.

Yeah, that was a minor thing. Let's get those back in there. I mean, compared to your entire soul being void for the rest of time, it's a little minor. You're fucked up.

You've got the big scar, three-year chest or whatever, but honestly, no pain because magic surgery, don't hurt. I'm going to get up and go look around and see if I can find you close. Taelyn says, I can't get you one of this official society code if you'd like to become a member. I have no idea what he's talking about.

I'm just going to walk and try and find a closet. He walks with you and just goes, come with me. We have words. Cool.

Greg and Wauci and Doo-Dad are there with the rest of the wizards. They're just kind of standing there awkwardly looking at the floor, eating food. Guess I'll go chat it up with the awkward wizards. What's these guys do?

You know? As soon as you broach it, they look up and they go, you're the guests of the chosen one. We don't want to disrespect you. Oh, that's right.

I don't want to disrespect you either. So I just come over and be friendly. You know, don't worry about disrespecting me. As long as anything you do or say, you don't have hate in your heart, I'm fine.

The man you met, Taelyn, is the leader of our society here. We have a secret society that is attempting to go against the Council of Elders. We all collectively have been blessed with a rare gift of time magic, very, very rare occurrence in our culture. One in a billion chance.

Taelyn has gathered us in the hopes that maybe one day we could free this place. Free this place from the Elders? Yes, but unfortunately, Arlu is their right hand. Our faith tells us that the chosen one will save us in the time of need.

What are they doing? That the new group is trying to solve. I guess I'm confused. Are you familiar with the plague that has beset Arlu and her people?
