Welcome to Episode 4 of Weird Adventures in Space, the SHU sci-fi superhero show. Weird Adventures follows a team of alien refugees trying to stop an intergalactic corporation from raising the Earth to ash. My name is Jay, and I'm your host, GM, whatever you want to call it. This is a real play game based in the fate system, which I then heavily edit to make myself sound a lot smarter.
It's a lot like in projects that these weirdos are living on Mars and getting fucked up on a space train. I'm going to introduce the cast of you right now, one by one. Hello, it's me, you're Geezel. I'm here, and I'm going to play.
Where you playing? I don't know. Wait here. I'm Logan, and I'll be playing Akita.
I'm Rob, and I'll play Sean, and I did not sign up for all this weird. I'm Zach, and I'll be playing Arlu. I'm Tony, and I'm playing Greg. Last episode, Akita and Greg were aboard the space train from Earth to Mars when it was hijacked by Elbido, a low-level bank robber who had been lost in space a few years ago.
By the time Wayfair, Sean and Arlu arrived, it was too late. Elbido shot out the engine of the train and caused a rift in time, trapped on a future version of Earth controlled by the Ridegore Corporation. The team is about to get a crash course in dystopia 101. Open your time machines and get ready for weird adventures in space episode 4, Ridegore Planet 666.
The episode starts on Earth, a bombed out desiccated Earth with nothing but dust around. Greg, you've been trying to comb through the ruins and wreckage of this train for about an hour now, trying to figure out what exactly went wrong with the engine. But it looks like it wasn't even made by human hands. It doesn't look, uh, it doesn't look real familiar, but I'm looking for basic stuff, you know, if there's any broken pipes, charred wires, if there's anything that's recognizable, then look and see if it don't fit, you know.
Any access panels or any way to look like, look inside this thing? Well, that's the problem. It looks like the engine block may have been split half. That is a problem.
The engine block itself is not overly complicated. You might be able to fix it with time, but you also don't know how this thing is running power source wise, right? Because you need a lot of energy to get through that. So for the first time in your life, maybe, you've looked at a machine and went, the fuck is this thing?
But if you take your time, you can eventually put the pieces back together into something resembling an engine and something resembling a mount for the engine. It's not like the train is destroyed in bits, it's just the engine was shot out. So might be able to repair it with some time and maybe a few resources. All right, well, I mean, I get to work patching up what needs to be patched, hooking up what needs to be hooked back up, taking my time trying to, you know, make sure it's right, at least for the trip back.
While you're leaned over the engine working on the parts, a large, orc guy, green skin, big head, big muscles, robot arm walks up from right behind you and peers in the engine itself. You want to tell them your name? Hey, everyone, I'm Mike and I'm playing Morg the GTAN. And Morg the GTAN is walking over to you, Greg, and looking at the engine right next to you.
How it looks like the engine block got split. Yeah, it's not good. It's all messed. Ever seen something like this before?
I don't know. Have I? Yeah, this is a train that was built by what in colloquial space terms are known as the cross rhodians. There are a bunch of ancient magical giants that live in the absolute middle of space and they build weird machines and engines that are rumored to have been seen.
You've seen one once. This is your first time looking under the hood and it is an immaculate work of art that has been destroyed, essentially. I've seen one of these once, but like, so did this crash because an explosion or did this crack when it landed? Or I guess you want to know because we're looking under the hood right now.
Well, we got hit. It got it got it got we got a tack. So I got damaged in the attack and I even hear for about an hour trying to get her to fire back up and I got it as far as I could. You know, it's a spitting sputter and whatnot.
I just can't get it. Run solid because this is all new to me. If you saw it once before, that's one more time than I've seen it. So but I'm doing my best here to get her.
You know, we got to get this thing moving down the track at least a little bit. I think I'm close, but I can't quite get her to stay, you know, running solid. I'm going to cut over to Wafer. You were flying above what used to be the Amberville Heroes farm and now just looks like a bombed out building when you saw obscurity on the edge of the forest and she saw you and was amazed.
She is old mid 70s, you'd guess, early 80s and pirate. She has robot arms as well as legs and you can see massive crows feet under her eyes. She looks stressed and like she hasn't been eating. That's no good.
That's her favorite thing. And she calls out to you. Al, come down please, please. I'm scaredy.
Yeah, it's me. Hi. Hi. What are you doing here?
I thought you were dead. I don't know where I am to be framed. Well, what do you mean? You don't know.
I mean, there's one place on this planet that's for people to live in and it's right here. Well, I'll tell you why. Last time I was on Earth, it definitely didn't look like this. So what do you mean?
I mean, this place is after Raghor invaded, it's always been this. It's just dust. It's nothing. After Raghor invaded.
Yeah, remember the Raghor invaded and we fought him back and we had to peace for a little while and they just came back and after the third time we pushed him back, they just ran out with resources and you were there the whole time. You died. You died in the war. Oh my God.
I don't belong here. Probably not. No. I get the sense that maybe from a different Earth.
Yeah. Time or something. Yeah. What were you doing before you got here?
Well, we ran a space train and I got hijacked by these orc guys and then this asshole, Elbedo, is yelling at a bunch of stuff and we went through a wormhole and now we're here. Ah, okay. That sounds bad. Yeah, it was pretty fucking bad.
I'm not as bad as this. Well, I mean, if you're stuck here, we might as well make everybody comfortable. I mean, can we call the other people? Do you see that guy in the weird suit right there?
I'm going to point out, Elbedo. I'll trust him. Okay. We'll do.
I've run out of this basically cool, I think. After she says, we'll do she waves at him. Like, hi. Oh fuck no.
I'm just trying to be nice. I mean, I get it. I don't trust him, but we still got to get along. Okay.
I don't go. He'll down the others and see if they want to come over here and say hi. Well, why don't I just come with you? Isn't that easier?
Sure. Let's just go together. I work so scary. Wayfarer end up security.
I'm going to go in the field. Greg and Morr are trying to work on the engine. But she comes over to the group and says, oh my gosh, there's so many people here, Wayfarer. Yeah, it's an entire train.
Are these aliens? I'm not sorry. Yeah. Okay.
Well, you've been doing getting out there. Yeah. And after the God war, they needed someone to go to Morr's and try to take care of people. So, um, I'm in space.
How much I love that? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I just remembered something. What?
And security goes, hey, Morr. Yeah. With all of these people, are we going to need to do a supply run? Yeah.
But I do have the hidden stash. If you want to help me dig that up. Yeah, sure. She points somewhere in the ground and you know that she's buried a big box about five feet deep.
Yep. So Morr takes his chain axe off of his back and goes like, okay, I was about here. Grass has him really grown on this area. And then he just starts, he drives it into the ground in a square around and then just starts lifting the top layer of soil up.
So the grass will be mostly intact and then just starts digging. You can dig it up pretty easily. And once you open it up, you can see that it is filled with individually wrapped donuts. And obscurity says, here it is.
The last note on Earth, I wanted to wait until we could share with somebody. But they've been in the ground for like 10 years. They're going to be good anymore. No, no, no, no.
It's like the fashion caves. It preserves them. All the refugees and everything just brush and grab some food, including the Jitain bikers you knocked out unless you tied them up. He would have tied them up and then he would have talked to them after the crash.
Okay. So you're digging all this stuff up and everybody's kind of eating donuts, commiserating, talking with each other. It approaches Wayfarer and says, you can't stay here. No, I know.
I don't want to stay here to be frank. Yeah. I mean, it's really nice to see you, but it's not good here. No, I can tell.
So what do we need to do to get you back home? I don't know. I think break was poking around in the train to figure out how to get it back up and running. Maybe we can get back with that.
Okay. I mean, that's something. I'm not a trained person. I'm not a trained person either.
Well, good thing you got friends to look at it. Yeah. I mean, people are talking to go, show him. Hi.
Have certain. Hi. She runs immediately over to you and gives you big hug. Gives this sort of unsure.
Hug back. Wait, John? Yeah, she's here. That's right.
And we're just kind of looking at the four. Looks back at John and is this another dimensional rift going on? Probably. What seems like it.
I hate those. She says she's at some. I've been waiting for you. Okay.
Why? Well, it's going on. You don't look like the shamaino. But the shamaino said one day another shamal show up.
And he told me that when that happens, that you have to go into the forest. And that's all I know. Okay. But the forest is really good.
Like it's the only thing that lets us grow food and breathe breathable air. It's a paradise. And our sham set it up for us so we can survive here. Without it, we got no oxygen.
We got no food. We got no soil to grow. Anything. He told me.
I ever saw another sham, sent him his way. Okay. I guess I'm going to the forest. She says, I'll show you where it is.
And she kind of walks off of him. Greg, you figured it out. All right. There was a containment chamber.
Kind of about the size of like a pressure cooker, a large soup pot. The galactic instapot. You can tell it was a power source for the thing because it plugs into the wiring mount and you follow the lines and all that fun stuff. So it seems like you need a source of power that would fit in something like that.
Morg, can you make me a notice roll? Sure. That's one. You notice that Greg has found what seems to be a containment chamber for a quasar prism.
A mysterious diamond-like structure that exists in space and is a high value target for a lot of bounty hunters, corporations, etc. Because of the sheer amount of power it provides. Like is it intact or is it broken? The prism itself seems to be not in there anymore.
Like you can tell from the residue. You can tell from scanning it with your axe that their radiation energy is wapping off of it. So it basically goes, ah, hell. Was the train like by say bandits or robbers, space stage, coachmen kind of thing?
Yeah, there was a whole gang of dudes somewhere right over there. The group of Jotan's wave at you like, hey. Hey, Morg jotan's. Part of my space, French, everyone else.
Hey, fuck once, get over here. The orcs all look at each other like, all right, yeah, this guy seems cool. I don't think they all come towards you. Yo, you part of the crew that hit this thing?
Yeah. So, were you aware that your ringleader was stealing the power source and leaving you behind? Or were you duped by him? Pretty sure my ringleader is out of his fucking mind and sitting right there in front of you on the ground knocked out.
So maybe you can ask him when he wakes up. Okay. Morg looks and goes, it doesn't look like he's carrying it. Like he doesn't have any like extra-dimensional pockets or anything like that.
Right. Yeah. How big is this thing supposed to be? Like what's the size of this thing?
Say it's about the size of the baseball or so. Oh, okay. But it's got to sit in like a nesting chamber. Oh, I was expecting something like a soccer ball or basketball size thing.
Like we'd be able to notice that. Obito's wearing a skin type super outfit that's covered in dirt and has holes in it. So you can see what he's carrying. No extra, no extra bulge.
No extra bulge. Damn it. That would have been pretty easy, right guys? Yeah.
That's why you're so angry. So you two are looking at this. I can tell more just from waving your accent, Obito, that he's stinking with the same energy that was in the fuel cell. Okay.
So he either took it and hit it extra dimensionally or it exploded on him and that's why he's knocked out. Or he was dressed in the vicinity once someone else swooped in and grabbed it. Either way, he probably knows what needs to be done to get it back or it will at least have some sort of idea. So and what kind of role would a medicine slash slapping someone in the face to wake them up be?
I think the same thing to you, Mike. Hey, whatever works, right? Whatever works. They're the same thing for work.
I'll have you roll a physique roll to, you know, wake him up without demolishing his face. Okay. Bloodletting used to be a thing. That's basically just stabbing a guy.
He just brings out a big pile full of leeches and he's like, this'll fix it. This is what Fick's George Washington is. I'm going to take this guy's humer's out. So that's a that was a three physique for me.
Okay. Yeah, you wake him up with a, I don't know, space smelling salt. I don't know what to call them. Space salts.
And he's kind of coming to me. He's like, what in the fuck happened? Yeah, that's what we're wondering. Chappo.
Who are you? So where's the crystal dude? The. What crystal?
Quantum reservoir for the strain. Fuck final. Probably got one off the explosion. Oh, Morgan, like, check, use his visor.
Like, well, you're positively steeped in it. So you were you were right nearby whenever whatever happened. My power is to absorb ambient energy. Okay.
Can you let off that energy? Yes. Very close to your face. If you don't watch your fucking mouth.
Work sticks out his lips, comic, like. Or gotcha. The fuck am I? He starts sitting and up and looking around.
What in the fuck? So it looks like you crashed the train. And in doing so caused a reference space and time and launched your asses to earth. It's going dip-chit.
Yeah. But you're stuck here. Well, we could probably use your help in repairing this thing. Like if you if you can let off the same sort of radiation that this thing had, we might be able to like reforge a new one.
Why don't you just look for one? Okay. What's the rarest thing that you can think of other than a clue? I don't know what the fuck you're talking about, man.
This was one of the Galactic Cross-Rhodians gigs, you know? Black holes and singularities are more common than this thing. You talking about the Quasar Prism? Yeah.
All right. Well, I spent some time in space. I know there were a lot of fucking money, and I know there's at least three on planet earth. Would he know that because I erased his memory?
Oh, you didn't successfully erase his memory. You just gave him brain problems. I tried to do that. You cured his insanity.
No, you didn't do that either. That's a good plan. It's very good. Problem, potentially.
A little thrown through a pore-loan space of time. If it's as rare and as expensive as we all know it is, the Riker Corporation has been here for like 80 years. If they are still on earth, then they have it. What are we going to do about it?
You can stay here forever. Do a scan for it. Maybe use a satellite. Take a look and we'll probably find one.
I thought you were a computer guy. You got a computer thing on your ex. Is that just for show? I mean, technically it's on my head.
It's my wrap around shades. Whatever, man. We got to find this fucking thing and get out of here. I don't want to be here and you don't either.
I mean, I kind of don't mind it like this. It's still nicer than you can. Is there someone else? I mean, technically you can talk to a lot of people.
I'm just a guest here. Elvino walks up the way for her and says, Hey, okay. What's up, okay. I'm willing to work with you to get us out of here.
I don't want to be here. It's good. She extends the same. I will.
Jake. We get back to our own time. We'll figure it out then. He walks up to you, Greg and says, Hey, same deal.
All right. Probably got out of control there. I'll say. Now we got to get home.
So it's on you and it's on me. More on you. Yeah. I guess.
What do you care? Do you want to get home or not? Yeah, that's what I thought. Don't really have a home.
I got a question just about the background here. We're on Earth, but it's at a different time, right? 50 years in the future. It's been taken over by the regular corporation.
Yep. And flattened to basically your dust bowl. Anytime I have a minute or two, I'm trying to figure out if there's a way that I couldn't possibly investigate whether there's any remnants of Evadcon, LTDs, company, buildings, old employees that I could possibly get a hold of or contact. If there's any remnants of my company on Earth still.
There's no cell service, so nothing works on that front. Work is going to start tinkering around with the train and the comms console to see if he can like hack into it. And if he can see if the places that he remembers where the Rijgorg operations strongholds are, if there's any sort of interlap with that and the Quasar's radiation. Sure.
Can you make me a god, what do you do for science? Work had been using Will for his hackery stuff. I like Will. It's good.
It's good. Just go ahead and get over it. And that's one that I didn't improve for the time upgrades because he hasn't needed to use it that often. Ooh, that is a five.
Hey, all right. Yeah, there's one overlap. It's in a large labor colony known as labor colony DM in the US and in the Midwest, or what used to be the Midwest. And yeah, you can trace an enormous source of the same energy to what looks to be a big base or building on the outskirts of town.
Work passes along this info. Okay, that's the best way to do it. Yeah. Yeah.
You know one other thing about labor colony DM, Morg? It's alive. It's a living city. It's a city with a consciousness.
I guess I'll make a proposal then. You want to split Greg and I'll beat off with me to try to go get that cube thing. And you guys want to go, I don't know, do some drag racing through the town? Keep it busy.
Just fucks it up. Yeah, go fuck shit up. Yeah. That sounds good.
Shomp going to stay here with obscurity to go into the forest and check the shop prophecy out. Yes. Shomp is not here to split up in the groups unfortunately. So we're going to have Akita and Arlu and Morg is one team.
And we're going to have Wayfair and Arlu and Obito as another team. Okay. Before anything else happens, Arlu, your cape jumps off of your back. And wraps itself in a twist.
And when the cape untangles, there is a large cat. Sweet. Maybe 300 pounds. Nine feet long from tip to tail.
It is wearing the cape that you were wearing. And it speaks in a very eloquent voice and says, well Arlu, I figured it's time for us to fight together. Cat. Yes, I'm a cat.
Sweet. I'm a guardian. It's been sent to take care of you. And yes, I am a cat.
Yes, it's true. I feel like I haven't done enough to protect you. So I would like to fight by your side. I was distracted.
It's about to get eaten. . Oh, he's scratching behind it's here. Ooh, let me.
All right. Take that. Yeah. You see that?
Oh, that's a... That's like the best role in the deck, by the way. Oh, the cat loves it. It's very relaxing.
She starts purring. Before you go, the orcs walk up to you, morgue and say, hey, before we go, we got to do something. Jotain stuff. Are we going to do the ceremonial fight for leadership, Dili, or is it just that you want to show me your space to gram?
No, we got our asses whipped by that dog man over there. And we got to go over there and humble ourselves in front of them. You know how it works. Didn't even take a punch.
Oh, yeah. I did. I know that guy. It's all the GTN's walk over to Jotain, they go, look, you kicked their ass.
They all get on their knees. That means you're better. Okay. Look, if you guys want to do something, keep these people safe.
All right. Does Akita still not have his shirt? No. Oh, yeah.
He's shirtless. He's still shirtless. His fur is blowing in the breeze, his golden hair. They say, well, uh, protect what?
What? What's not going on here? Protect all these refugees, make sure nothing happens to him. Just keep an eye on him.
We don't know what could happen. All right. And if you guys do this, I promise you guys all make did you something or two by the way, I fight. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Okay. Well, uh, they all kind of talk amongst themselves. Shh. We're by, we're by, we're by.
All right. That's a fair deal. I mean, you're a good fighter. You learn how to fight.
All right. Simple as that. I'll make sure these people are safe. All right.
And then as you're ready to go, Morg, your ride appears. The forest opens up like the actual trees and canopies bend and move out of the way. And two enormous trucks are driven out of the forest. Big modified pickup trucks with roll cages and weapons systems and everything.
There's one for each team. Shotgun. I call shotgun. John, you are walking through this forest, which is just beautiful.
Despite all of the desolation around you, there's so many different trees, ferns, rich soil on the ground, fruit growing from the trees, dew and nectar everywhere. Sean's wondering how this has come to be just on this planet. If it's actually natural or if there's magic or is somehow involved. Did you make any notice wrong?
That's a plus one. I'm going to feel the presence of a sun all around you. I'm going to look around to see if I can actually find a source of the feeling. It's everywhere.
It's like a cloud. But as you look around the forest, the tree trunks in the leaves begins to take shape, sort of forming things. At first, they kind of look like letters, but letters don't hold. And then you see faces and bodies in the tree trunks.
People you've met before, a catwoman carrying a scythe, a mech suit. Bone star, the skeleton man, and quiver, the archer. As you walk through the trees, you're seeing these things around you. They're taking form.
It's kind of like a green man, if you know what that is. It's like a being of leaves that can change the shape to infroll. As you keep walking, you see more faces too. Faces you've never seen before.
A woman made of broken glass, a demon and a lab coat, a Martian that looks suspiciously like Greg, and a bicone, a keto species, but gray haired, scarred, missing in the ear. As you're looking around and you're overwhelmed, the forest tries to talk to you and says, um, all in one word, like it's vibrating underneath the soil. I reach out with my ability to come in with plants and try to talk back. Just saying, I'm here.
And you reach out to come in with the plants, your body dissipates and you're absorbed into the soil. Group two, which is the group of Wayfarer, Elbedo, and Greg. You've been given GPS coordinates to where you'd need to go. And as you drive there, you notice there's literally nothing to see.
The entire earth is a dead, dusty wasteland. After a couple of hours, you see the labor camp they were talking about. An enormous metropolis, spanning miles and miles and miles. Every building, every fixture, every structure is a dark pitch black, no light escaping.
You're tracing the outside of the labor camp and by doing some clever driving, you're going to be able to avoid detection. But I'm going to need whoever's good at driving to make a driving role. How am I driving? Greg's pretty good at driving.
So maybe you didn't have to call shotgun. Fine, I made a roll for Greg. You guys get through fun. Does it have a date?
Yeah. No, an ox court. Ow! You're driving outside the traces of the city and Alvito says out loud, what the fuck did you care about this anyway?
I was just trying to get some money. We were just trying to get some people to Mars. Wasn't it going to hurt anybody? You immediately started hurting people.
When you got there, what do you mean you weren't trying to hurt anybody? I mean I wasn't trying to, it got out of my hands. That's the first thing you did when you showed up was hurt people. It got out of my hands is what I'm saying.
I'm saying I just, I thought I had it and I didn't, but I didn't mean it. I didn't want to. Fuck. Dude, just calm down.
Calm down. This is a toilet. Yeah. This is our future?
This is what we have to look forward to? My dude, I've been trying to prevent this from happening for about 200 years. I really, really don't care about how you feel about it. This is my greatest failure made physical in my face.
Wow, he's intense. Yeah. I think you can understand why. There's no fucking trees, there's no fucking water, there's no fucking people, there's no fucking anything.
That's what they do. Oh, message received. Look, the train thing happened. Let's just move on and try to get back and deal with it from there.
Some things do get out of your hands, obviously this got out of mind. But I'm being given a second chance here because if we get to go back, maybe I get to do it different. Maybe you will get a second chance too, El Bido. Okay.
Melissa. Just let's do the prison thing. We can all be cool with each other. You know, I have to sit here and yell at each other to talk about who did what wrong.
All right. Look, I'll keep doing so. I get it. You don't have to keep yourself.
Just if you're talking about what you did wrong over and over again, you will never learn from it. Please believe me. El Bido kind of quites up, sits in the back. It's like he's in the spot.
Greg, wayfarer, as you approach the outskirts of town, what looks to be the remnants of a large metal gate in the side of a hill or a mountain. Looks like your destination. It is sealed currently, but rusted the hell up and not covered in the same black material that's covering the rest of the city. Okay.
Can we bust in there somehow? Me, McRuell. Greg, you think that might be a bad idea. Oh, just to bust in?
Yeah, it's looking like this truck may or may not be held together with like owners glue and wasps spit. So you might need to find a way to get the gates open first. I'll close can we get to the gate before it seems like we'd be detected. It almost seems like there's no one watching it.
Oh, we get it right up to it, huh? You don't see any cameras? There's no people or anything, no. All right.
Well, if we can get right up to it, I'm going to see what's locking this gate. Sure. Looks like there's a some sort of a basic locking mechanism that may be tied to a computer or terminal or something somewhere, but it also looks like there's no electricity or anything. So you got a gate that's been electronically sealed that you don't have any way to open.
Who wants a piggyback ride? Are you picking up Greg for a piggyback ride? I mean, I think it's rusted through. It seems better.
Greg, do you consent to being a piggyback rider? Heck yeah. I mean, you computer pan. We can do the roseform, 5k and 8k.
For you and my arms like a baby. Multiple styles here. Greg, T-posas and Wayfarer just lifts them up. The minor back like backpack style or am I on the back like we're playing chicken?
You can do the atrial thing. That's fine. Yeah, if you're playing chicken, that makes you more powerful. You're twice the height.
Yeah. Yeah, that's I'm going to go for that. Yeah. Okay, I'm going to make a roll for Greg, but I need you so if you make a roll for physique.
That's a three. Okay. Greg rolled very well. So Greg, you're kind of able to guess where the locking mechanisms might be.
And you can point them out to Wayfarer so that Wayfarer can just shoot them. Or it's for me. So yeah, you you you notice where the blocking mechanism is and because of your teamwork, you just immediately know how it works. Gates open, but it's pretty dark in there.
All right. Well, if we can get back to the truck and push the gates the rest away with the truck, light it up that way with the truck lights. Oh, no. Well, I did just draw a driving roll for you, Greg.
Oh. And it was a critical failure. Oh, oh, no. Which means crashing into the gates actually destroys the truck.
Oh, man. Hey, sorry about that, guys. I wrecked this nice truck. I'll get out and look at the damage.
We can't just we can't just buff that out. It seems like the whole like front part of the body is collapsed in. So I mean, you might you might be able to fix it if you had a welding kit. Oh, no.
Well, I'll I'll just tear off the pieces that are hanging. Get them out of the way. See if there's something we can't do that way. If not, I guess we're if it won't roll was aimed at lights in and hope it lights up what we need.
The car itself doesn't light up, but Albedo says I know he needed some light. Yeah, it's pretty dark in there. And he goes, that's what I do with the energy I keep. So let me come with you.
I'm not writing on your back though. We're now enough. All right. So Albedo walks forward and you can see that like light is pouring out of their hands.
They can shoot it into the room into little light orbs that light the room up. That this can't be good. You can tell that this was once a military face. Wait for me a notice roll.
Okay. That's three. You've been here before. Okay.
You once fought something outside of a large gate that wouldn't open. Never saw what was beyond the game. You remember what that is? Your name was Orion.
Oh, oh. Oh. This is where you fought Orion so long ago. Seems like it's still just a military base of the locked door.
Fucking now I know what city they're going into too. Oh, this is bad. Which is Arlu and Arlu's pet Wally, Morg and Akita. Y'all are right around on Morg's Med-Max truck.
Med-Morg. Well, they are. What are you doing Arlu? I am writing cat back.
Morg, I'm assuming you're driving because this is your rig. You get into town and you kind of don't know where to start. It's a big city. Are you going to keep together or drive through the street switch again playing here to try to get its attention?
I figure probably the best way to get this thing's attention is by just burning rubber cornering aggressively. If it's going to be able to notice us as we go in, it's definitely going to notice us as we drift around corners because it's like putting a cat the wrong way. It's like, oh no, that feels bad. I'm going to get its attention by driving slightly irresponsibly.
Go ahead and make me a physique roll to do a cool fast and furious style drive. Okay. I like how it's a physique roll and not a drive roll. Well, it's not a truck.
It's not a sports car. Oh, sweet. That is a five. Okay.
Yeah, you can keep your composure while driving 140 down the narrow alleyway. Like, I can't hear this is not a great feeling, by the way. Uh, no. Work is just cackling.
The whole time? Yep. As you pull out onto the main drag, what would be the downtown area? You see several skyscrapers, windows and lines and lines and lines and windows.
And you hear a noise erupt from underneath the earth. And it just kind of sounds like, and then after you hear that, all of those windows fill up with a person that seems to be aiming a gun at you. You have two apartments full of people, all in the windows, all with sniper rifles, getting ready to take shots at your truck. Mark waves.
He's supposed to be a distraction. Can I try and make Wally take off into the air with my own magic? Are you asking if you can make your cat fly? Yes.
Yes. Sweet. I had to think about it for a second there. I'm like, that doesn't break anything.
I'm pretty sure. Yeah, that's fine. You can fly the cat. What you doing?
Doing barrel roll. You use the boost to get through. So you're in the air. And now that you're floating above the ground, Arlu, you can see that these people in the buildings aren't the only people in the town.
That all these buildings have storefronts. And there are dozens and dozens of people rushing out of every single storefront. You can hear them screaming. They're ruining our customer service experience.
I'm going to start going with fireballs and everything. You're taking the first shot? Just spinning the circle and just fling fireballs in every direction. Yeah, go for it.
Make me a fireball roll. A fireball roll? Plus five. Just because I'm not aiming.
I'm just flinging. You tell us like 12 of these people and instead of leaving a body behind, they just kind of melt into the ground. Oh, so not to feel bad about it. Okay.
Well, I mean, make me a wall roll. Plus four. They don't seem sentient. So we're getting a bunch of sniper shots pointed at our truck.
And an army of zombie like hordes rushing towards your truck as well. It'd be clear. Morgz going to be driving away from the hordes, not towards. He's being a distraction, not suicidal.
We were supposed to just be an attraction. Not suicidal. Would I be able to roll and investigate to look around for maybe like a building that seems like a main like central building, like an important building in the city? The largest building that you can see is a skyscraper 300 stories tall.
That just says Raghor Corporation on the top of it. It's boring. When the corporate apocalypse comes, it will be painfully boring. Wait, when it comes?
So what do you do with this knowledge of the large building, Nikita? Should I blow it up? That's what I was thinking was trying like take down what seems to be the most important building. So I'm going to tell Morgz, hey, maybe head towards that building, see if we can't take it down or anything.
For my computer scans, would I know that that building would be where the Quasar really is? No, the Quasar dealies outside of town. So what you would know is this seems to be the Raghor Corporation's only office on this planet now. You're kind of an afterthought.
Okay, so I won't have to worry about them destroying the things that we need. Okay, no, not at all. Like we'll do. So yeah, I start making my way towards the closer to the big building.
