Okay- so we all might have a little weird or quirky thing that we like to do. But what one considers weird may not be weird as much as it is just different. So what if we looked at it with a different perspective?  I think those are the things that make us who we are- we are fun and creative and unique. We all are not made with a cookie cutter image so what makes us different should be celebrated. Taylor and I have a short chat about what weird looks like.  Hosted on Acast. Some American Storytellers by Frederic Taber Cooper (1864 - 1937) LibriVox Frederic Taber Cooper, who was an editor and author, provides a superb insight into the works of some of the most popular authors of the turn of the century decade.Excerpt: The subjects of the essays included in this volume differ widely in aim and in accomplishment; but all of them possess, to a considerable extent, the gift that makes them next of kin to the minstrel and troubadour, to the ancient fabulist, and to the forgotten spinner of the world s first nursery tales, the gift of holding the attention by the spell of the spoken word. - Summary by Celine Major Indefinite Article - A Post Article 50, Pre Brexit Listening Journey Across the UK Indefinite Article A surprising and thought-provoking journey across the UK, recorded in the wake of Article 50.The shock, delight and polarisation of the EU referendum revealed the extent of the divisions within the UK. We wanted to go beyond the stereotypes and headlines that seemed to be making dialogue difficult. We – Ali Avery and Alice Myers – took the triggering of Article 50 as an opportunity. As the UK formally began the process of leaving the European Union, we set out on a listening journey through the four countries of the UK.We traveled in leaps of 50 miles from Anglesey to Lincolnshire. We knocked on every number 50 door we passed and also spoke to people we met working in their gardens, waiting for buses, walking their dogs and having their hair done.Exactly one year later, we're launching this selection of highlights for you to enjoy.
