My journey from a 20-year tenure in corporate finance to the liberating world of entrepreneurship is a tale of resilience, determination, and the pursuit of freedom. The Drive for Time and Financial FreedomMy career in corporate finance was marked by success, but there was something missing—a sense of true freedom. The desire for more time to spend with my loved ones and the ability to control my financial destiny became the catalyst for change. I wanted to break free from the constraints of a 9-to-5 job and the uncertainty that came with it, such as layoffs and financial instability.Overcoming Personal and Family ChallengesAs a single mother, I faced my fair share of financial hurdles. From relying on emergency funds to juggling credit card debts during periods of unemployment, the road was anything but smooth. Yet, these challenges only fueled my resolve to provide a stable home for my son and to navigate through the end of a long-term relationship with grace and strength. The Entrepreneurial SparkWhile my son was in high school, I took the plunge and started my own business part-time. This side hustle was my first step towards full-time entrepreneurship. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it brought unprecedented challenges but also opened doors to new possibilities. The shift to remote work allowed me to serve clients across the United States, offering a newfound flexibility that traditional corporate life could never match.A Pivotal Moment: Retiring from Corporate AmericaThe decision to retire from my corporate career and focus solely on my business was monumental. It was a leap into the unknown, but it promised the freedom I had longed for—the freedom to create my own schedule and build something that was truly mine.Values, Faith, and FamilyMy personal values and faith have been the bedrock of my journey. They've allowed me to support my aging parents when they needed me most, without compromising my professional commitments. The flexibility of entrepreneurship means I can work from anywhere, be it at a client's office or beside a loved one's hospital bed.Looking Ahead with Excitement and CommitmentAs I look to the future, my excitement for the growth of my business is matched only by my commitment to financial education. I take pride in offering my services for free and in helping others achieve financial freedom, regardless of their life stage or circumstances.Empowering Others Through Financial EducationA Diverse Audience: From Single Mothers to RetireesMy mission extends to single mothers, professional women, married couples, young adults, and retirees. I aim to provide valuable information and education to help everyone understand their finances, build a strong financial plan, and ensure they have the proper protection in place, like life insurance.Conversations That MatterI believe in the power of meaningful conversations about finances.
