Welcome to Season Seven! Thanksgiving: God's Comfort in Omniscience.
from Free Range Preacher on Prayer · host Fred
Welcome Morocco to the podcast; we are glad you are listening, and we will learn more about you in days to come. For now, we quote the famous line from Casablanca, "Play the podcast again, Sam." Missed it by that much. Psalm 139 is one the most moving, comforting, and detailed descriptions of God's Omniscience in the Holy Writ. A sample of what David teaches us: God saved us, knowing our sins intimately. We cannot flee His mercies. Our darkest days are not dark to Him. We are designed to be exactly to be us. Our So What? We are excessively comforted by His knowledge and humbled by His mercies. Humbled to call out, as David did: "Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; 24 And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way." Amen Brethren, let's pray for one another.
