On our inaugural episode co hosts Genevieve, and Kyra introduce themselves and begin a discussion on a subject important to the podcast: interdisciplinary sciences. The hosts discuss their current research, where they are working on the coast, and why their work calls for different perspectives. They also discuss the role of The Coastal Society at their home base of East Carolina University (ECU) in North Carolina and the Coastal Studies Institute (CSI) on the Outer Banks.
