Wellness Challenge: Stay Hydrated Today

from Today’s Gut Health Tip · host Melissa Hall Klepacki, M.Ac.

Today - shoot for 64 ounes of pure filtered (not bottled, not tap) water.  That's 8 glasses of 8 ounces.  Get yourself a refillable water bottle.  Something large of enough to hold enough water for the morning but not so large that it's too heavy or cumbersome.  Remember unless we are taking alot of B vitamins our urine output should be nearly clear. Dark urine is a sign of dehydration. Staying fully hydrated helps your body flush out toxins more efficiently.  You'll perform better if you are fuly hydrated.  In fact, your physical performance can be severely impacted if you lose as little as 2% of the water in your body. The result of this can be things like fatigue,  and performing exercise will feel a lot more difficult from a mental and physical perspective. Dehydration is usually the root cause of migraines in many people. However, new studies show that drinking water can be an effective way of treating and even preventing headaches from happening in the first place. Join me on Facebook and tell me how it feels to be fully hydrated!
