Wells Returns as Yankees Eye Win
from Sports News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Austin Wells is poised to return to the Yankees lineup as early as tomorrow after a stint on the injured list due to neck stiffness and headaches—possibly linked to a May 19th head injury. His comeback is crucial for a struggling Yankees team, offering elite defensive catching, pitching management, and a valuable left-handed bat. Manager Aaron Boone confirmed Wells is progressing well and could play if he clears final checks. With the team facing a pivotal series finale against the Reds, Wells’ return could provide much-needed stability and flexibility for the lineup.
