In the dead of night as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the supernatural hour. I am your host, Raven.

I'm Chad. This is Emmett. And this is Doc. We are back.

And we actually have some business. We have a podcast, or a podcast. We're doing a podcast. We have a podcast for a long time.

We have a public event schedule. It's going to be at Petitney School in Payson. That is on April 8 at 8.30 PM. We're really excited about this.

This is a great venue. We've had a lot of people request us to get back there sooner rather than later. So it'll be available on April. Go out to Eventbrite and get your tickets or eventsparinormal.com and go to the events tab and you can buy your tickets there.

And it's a great venue too. I love Petitney. It is. And this is a venue that sells out really fast.

We weren't able to get into the building for a long, long, long time. Now that it's opened up, everybody has ever wanted to investigate it. Which is a lot of people. I don't think we've investigated this where we haven't sold out and had walk-ins that have said, can we join?

You can't turn people away. So we let them come in. So that's going to point where we have to say we are full to the girls because you get too many people and it's not as good. You'll get contaminated evidence and stuff.

So we do have to finally say no at some point. But this one sells out. So don't sit on it and think about it for a few days. If you want to go get the tickets.

Yeah, we're really excited. It's only three or four weeks away. So we're coming on pretty quickly. We usually try to get about a six week lead on that.

This one we weren't able to do that. What were the days again? It's April 8 at 8.30 pm. And that's pacing Utah.

So Petit needs school. It's a great, great venue. Yeah, every time we've gone it's been crazy active. Crazy, crazy active.

So this is a fun one. I'm excited for it. So moving on to residential? We do.

And we actually have residential. I know I went to one. Well, it's funny. I have been talking to two clients for probably a month now.

And talking back and forth and what do you think of this? You know, this and that. We can come out and what days can you come out. Anyway, and one lady, she's like text me before you call because I don't answer strange phone calls.

I would text her. And she'd say, well, I'm in a meeting. Call me a half hour. I'd call on half hour.

She would answer. I mean, it's just been, then she won't answer. And then I send her an email. Then she'll send me an email through advanced paranormal.

I've never heard from her before. We've just really had a hard time connecting with these two. But we had this one yesterday. And then we actually have two more that are actually scheduled.

So we're finally starting to get these coming in and actually scheduling them. But this one was in Mapleton. And it was really interesting. So we get there.

And the homeowner says, she said, it's really been affecting my dog the most. She said the dog gets so agitated and trying to get out of the certain room that the dog actually bled, you know, left bloody marks, you know, just trying so desperately to get out of the room and just kind of feeling of heaviness. You know, we're on the main floor. And I'm like, this house is a haunted, not that I doubt clients.

But I'm like, I don't feel anything. But we went upstairs and all my work. So I used to turn the corner. Denise and I both went in that room right there.

It was just palpable. And so we go into the bedroom, which was the homeowner's bedroom, you know, set up some equipment and it immediately moved into the little girl's room. Oh, the other thing that the homeowner said was this little girl in the daytime would go downstairs until her mom was there in my room. You kind of get that at night with shadows and it's dark and scary and, you know, the laundry on your chair can take on a different form.

But this would be in the middle of the day because I know there's a monster in my room. Yeah. So we go into, you know, we're not getting any activity in the mom's bedroom. And then through asking us no questions, the different instruments.

And just the fields we could tell that it had kind of moved into the little girl's room. So we got some salt, salted it in the room so it couldn't get out, ask some questions. Basically the answers we got were it had followed the dog. It had seen the dog, followed the dog and came in the house solely to harass the dog.

And so, you know, not really there to annoy the people, mostly the dog. And so we just kind of let it stew for a minute. And we asked if there were any other spirits in the home and there were four. And we didn't even determine if they were males or females, honestly, because we were kind of focused on this type three that was harassing the dog.

And of the four type one spirits that were there, the human spirits, two wanted to cross and two did not. And so we said, well, you know, we'll get there in a minute, just hang with us. So we were sitting there thinking and I said to myself, well, I said, I can get a spirit out of a home. But once it's out of the home and we've sealed off the home, you know, I just let it hang outside and tell it to get lost.

And lots of times they'll just peter off on their own, but where he's here to harass the dog that is outside. Yeah. And I do know how to get him out of the yard too, but I thought if it's just, you know, I mean, as soon as that dog goes for a walk and I'd attach the dog and come back in. And so I thought, you know what, I thought I'm going to call Newman, our friend Newman.

I thought he can do some stuff that I can. Oh, I do have to say one other thing. The mom was having bad dreams. It just needs a really demonic, dark dreams that she didn't normally have.

Yeah, she'd mentioned that to all of us when we first were introduced to her and, you know, talked a little bit about what's going on in her house. She did mention that she'd had sleep paralysis in these bad dreams and things. Yeah. While we were talking to the type three, it was really interesting because we have a phone app that will, words will pop up.

Sometimes irrelevant, most of the time, you know, you'll get half of them that are relevant. When you first turn on, it shoots out five or six words that you're like, that doesn't mean anything, right? But this one, every single word bang on right when we were discussing things. And I don't remember what the words were because I wasn't really manning the word app.

It was one of our new investigators, Brianna. If I said your name wrong, sorry, because Brianna, you know, we would ask a question and she'd say this word just popped up and it was just like super relevant. And when we, you know, said, hey, we're going to, you know, we're going to ask you to leave. And we don't ask them to leave.

We kick them out, but he started saying all these agitated words. But one of the things he said was leader and what did he say? Something like teaching. And this came up when we were talking about the other spirits.

Turns out the two spirits that didn't want to cross were being taught by this type three, like he was training them to be type two. And for those of you that maybe just found us or haven't listened to us for a long time, a type three is a demonic spirit. A type one is just your typical, you know, someone has passed and their spirit stays behind. And a type two is either just a really jerk spirit, like a type one that's just an asshole.

Or the type one that a type three has kind of coerced and threatened to be its minion. To do its bidding. Yeah, because they don't do their own dirty work. They make other people do their dirty work.

Other spirits. So they were kind of in training, but every word that popped up on that app was so relevant and just came up, just boom, boom, boom. It was kind of eerie that they came up so fast and so relevant. And that app is called Ghost Hunting Tools.

Yeah. It's kind of a fun app to get it. It's for you can just go out to your app store and download it. I've had some good success with it at times and other times.

It's been like just a random or generator that seemed to have no correlation at all. But there's other times we've had situations where things are just spot on like you were talking about yesterday. Oh, yeah. And I think that holds true for any equipment.

I mean, there's times when I put flashlights out and I wonder, you know, if they're dying, if I need to get new ones, another time, say, boom, boom, boom. You know, work, I think it just depends on what the spirits like to interact with. Yeah. But this spirit really liked to interact with that app and everything was just, you know, I mean, there wasn't one single word that was irrelevant.

It sounds like you struck a nerve. Oh, yeah. I mean, sometimes, you'll be talking about the dark underworld and the apple say pizza. You're like, uh, yeah, no, I don't think so.

Chevrolet, but this one was just, it was eerie. So anyway, we, I said, you know, I'm going to have to call anyone for this one because I don't, I just want to make sure that it's gone gone. I mean, like I said, I can get out of the house. I can get it out of the yard.

But where it was following the dog, I thought that dog goes for a walk is it going to hang around and come back. So I called me and this is what I said to him when he answered the phone. He answered the phone and he goes, Hey, how are you? And I said, I'm doing great.

I said, Hey, we're just kind of dealing with an nasty spirit here. We felt like we needed to call you to take care of it. That is what I said. I gave him no details, right?

Put him on speaker so that everybody could hear him. And so he goes to the process. He checks the house. He makes the type three go away.

The two spirits that wanted to cross got crossed. He's like, now there's two spirits that are hiding and there's the two spirits that were in training. And then he says, I need to talk to the homeowner. He says about these dreams that you've been having and everybody's jaw about dropped the floor because I didn't say anything to him about dreams.

I said, there's a nasty spirit here. We need you to help as well. So anyway, so he was able to help the homeowner to help, you know, clear, clear her and, um, it was kind of cool. The happy dog now.

Oh, yeah. Oh, you could even tell when we went back to she had the dog outside because she said he didn't really take kindly to strangers. And it's a border calling. It's a pretty big dog and a pretty energetic dog.

Yeah. When I first went in, I just saw him briefly that or you could feel kind of his agitation. And when we left, I saw him outside. He's kind of like, and then playing and having fun.

So I think even the dog knows the difference. I was going to say one more thing about that residential. I don't remember what it was. I think about it all mentioned again.

But it was a good one job. Well done. Yeah, it was fun. So our main topic is brought to you by who's our main topic.

Oteos. Oteos? Yeah, it's a turtleneck. OK.

I look, but I didn't see it. Oteos. Oteos, fine Mexican restaurant. They are delicious.

Raven went out and had a little lunch outing with one of her friends that Oteos and brought me back a really, really nice Oteos. It's like steak on a corn tortilla with stuff on top of it. And it is delicious. It's good.

It's pretty and filling. Sometimes pretty food doesn't fill you up in a cost of fortune. Yeah. And when I first looked at it, I thought this isn't going to be enough.

And when I got done with it, it was enough. Oh, yeah. No, it's pretty. It fills you up.

And it doesn't cost you an armory. So if you're looking at it on our YouTube, take a look. And there's a couple of really nice pictures of a couple of things they do, but they do really nice food. It's not Del Taco.

It's not talking. It's Mexican food, but it's not what you're expecting. Actually, when I took my friend there, she's like, I've never been here before. And she says, this is amazing.

She says, I better bring my husband here. Yeah. And the decor is not awesome. It's clean.

And it's well done. It's pretty minimal. It's quite minimalistic. It's not like, oh my gosh, this is the greatest.

The focus is on the food. Yeah, not the venue. There's some places that you go for the decor and the food. This place, the decor is, I mean, it's clean.

It's minimalistic, but the food is amazing. So, OK, enough about potatoes. One of these days, they're going to have to give me a free meal for talking them up and taking everybody there. In fact, I went in, saw the owner, Mosey, and he goes, hey, how are you?

And I said, it's my goal to bring everybody I know here. And he goes, I like your goal. All right, when do you go? I have to tell you about when do you go?

I've got to get my notes. So, Castle, I don't know. If you can listen to us from day one, we mentioned, Castle mentioned, just very briefly, a phone call that he had from a fellow. So, I had to call him today to make sure I had the story right, because I want to give the story right.

But we had someone contact this, actually contacted Castle, and he wanted to join our team. And he said, I need to join your team. He said, there's a huge flock of crows in the Walmart parking lot, and I just know that this dumpster is haunted. We need to go check it out.

I need to be on your team. And I'm qualified to be on your team because I have taken on an entire herd of Wendigo single handedly. That's what we all said too. So, he's not on our team.

This is a Native American cryptid, right? Yes. So, and the way he put it was, I have to consult my Castle notes. He took on a whole herd of Wendigo.

I didn't know that Wendigo's flock in herds. But anyway, single handedly took out a whole herd of Wendigo. Wow. And if you know much about Wendigo, I don't think anybody can take out a whole herd of them single handedly.

I don't think they run in herds from everything. Yeah, I think they're solitary. Exactly. From everything I've researched.

There's a lot going on there. And I'm glad this fellow felt confident in his abilities, but I'm thinking there's a few holes in in that story. So, Chuck, what do you know about Wendigo? It's a Native American spirit that is associated with bad times.

Like times of starvation or war. And I've heard that it's cannibalistic. It's not a good thing. That's what I've heard.

Yeah, you know, I knew about Wendigo. I knew briefly what they were. But if you'd asked me too many details, I would have just started at U Blankly. A malevolent spirit.

Yes. Some people, this is the whole one in that fellow story, is some people believe that it's an mythological creature. I personally believe it. And some of the articles that I looked at did say it could be just a manifestation of an evil spirit.

So, is it mythical? Is it real? Yeah, that's up to you and where your belief system takes you. I believe that a Wendigo is a manifestation of an evil spirit.

I really do. But that's me. But they do say that the mythological part of it comes from or originates from folklore of like the plains and great lake natives. The Algonquin people.

Some of the first nations. Those that are kind of based around the East Coast forests of Canada, kind of that great plains region in the US. Great lakes region. And basically modern ethnology, any speakers in the Algonquin family of languages.

So, kind of that, what's the word I want that area? That, I don't know, there's a word. Think about it in there. Yeah, geographic area.

Thank you. That geographic area. Have you ever seen a picture of a Wendigo? Yeah, they think like they have horns and it looks like kind of an animal skull face on this really thin, winnily humanoid light frame.

Like they walk on two legs like humans do. Yeah, they're quite scary looking from the pictures and descriptions that I've read. Oh, yeah. Artists, renditions.

I've never seen a photograph. You never ran into a herd of them at the Walmart? If you saw a herd of elk maybe just from the head up, you might think it was a bunch of Wendigo on the other side of the fence. Yeah, so some of the descriptions that I found online, I'll just read you a few of them, an emancipated figure with Ash and Flesh.

I'm glad they weren't emancipated. So, emaciated, not emancipated. You may see it. Oh, hey, yeah.

That's not a word I use often. That's why we have a doctor. Yes, we do. That's a word I use a lot.

That's what I get for not reading my notes very closely. Okay, emaciated figure with Ash and Flesh. Some say it's giant up to about 15 feet or 4.5 meters for those of you that aren't in the US. They say it grows larger than more.

It eats, which I kind of think falls for humans too. I know when I eat a lot, I can kind of be. They can have sunken or going eyes, sharp yellow fangs and claws. It says lips are chewed or entirely missing because it has eaten them.

So not only is it kind of ballistic, is there a word for eating yourself? Doc? Or is that just cannibalism? I'm sure there's a term, but I'm not sure what it is.

Well, that's probably a good thing. We don't want you to use that term very often at all because that would be weird. It says it can be hairless or have fur. It can have pointed ears, horns or antlers like a deer.

It smells like rotting flesh and is usually first detected by humans by its horrible odor. And that right there kind of lends me to believe that it's not as mythological as real because one of the signs of demonic activity is, you know, horrible odors, feces, death, rotting flesh. And the only term for eating yourself is auto-fagio, by the way. Ew.

Oh, that work is a diet. Is that a weight loss plan? Seems like it's that neutral at that point, right? You would think so.

You would think it would just kind of, yeah, weird. So yeah, just with the horrible smells and then just the way they look, you know, I think we have run into several types of three that have been rather small, you know, not super powerful, but they project themselves to be really scary looking, you know, to scare the clients that we've worked with. The victims? I'm not sure that there are many that just are big and scary looking, you know, because they are demonic entities.

Let's face it, they're not going to look like you. We'll put cats. Yep. So, but even though they're like super creepy looking and like rotting flesh and eating their own lips off, it says they're believed to have exceptionally sharp eyesight, hearing and sense of smell, superior strength and speed so that they can overpower and stalk their victims.

They tend to live in colder climates because, you know, we kind of talked about that region up, you know, great legs up by Canada. They, you know, so they can move easily through deep snow and across eyes. The legend has it a shaman, a shaman, maybe the only person who can subdue and destroy a wendigo. And the way you would do that would be a silver steel or iron bullet or a dagger.

Some legends say that the wendigo's heart must be cut out and melted or burned in a fire before its spirit is truly vanquished. So, on that account, the ring from one of the rings would it be a wendigo because it had to be burned by fire? I don't think so, but interesting correlation. Understanding the cultural relevance of the symbolism of the wendigo I think is important.

You know, he is a mythological character that exists in time of famine or struggle and culturally is almost used as a reminder that we don't eat each other, right? No matter how bad things get, we don't eat one another. So, they talk about in these cultures, they have ceremonies and things that kind of remind the people that things get bad and we starve sometimes and famine is nasty. But at the end of the day, you lose your humanity when we start eating one another.

One of the U2s, I was walking there talking about it and it's, you know, that people can become wendigo by becoming cannibalistic. And that's one of the things. And if somebody does that in the culture, they talked about this one poor hunter that was not very good and couldn't provide for his family and ended up killing and eating his wife and children because of the starvation that he was at. And it's like, okay, so if you're going to kill and eat your wife and your children, how can the rest of the tribe trust you?

If you are going to do that to your closest family members, so then you get shunned by the tribe, taken out. And those become the wendigo and the loral around that was, then they become perpetually hungry that they, even though they eat and they may feast and gorge on humans, they're still always hungry. There's always that nine persistent hunger that they've got. They're never satisfied.

Right. Going back to the whole evil spirits idea, you know, they're never going to be happy. No matter how many lives they ruin, no matter how many, you know, people they get to commit suicide and do their bidding, you know, do their dirty work. They're never going to be happy.

They're never going to have what it is that they want. And so that's another correlation, in my opinion, that says, I think, when to go, we're just another manifestation of a demonic entity or evil spirit. Right. From medical perspective, there's actually a type of psychosis called window ghost psychosis where individuals feel like they have an insatiable desire to eat human flesh or try human flesh or they have a fear that they're going to turn into a cannibal.

It's pretty culturally bound. It sounds like, you know, to these regions where the window go is present in folklore, but it's something that has become culturally pervasive that people end up developing a fear of this. Oh, my gosh, you know, either they feel like they want to eat flesh or they're terrified that they're going to become a cannibal. Yeah, I've actually had a couple of notes on here about that as well.

And it says they include delusions of becoming possessed by an evil spirit, depression, violence, unlike you said, a compulsion for human flesh and cannibalism. It said it was diagnosed retroactively in some historical cases of cannibalism in North America. So yeah, I thought that was interesting. I've never heard of that before.

There's also a cloak wheel phrase that's used in some areas called going Wendigo. And what is that used for? In cream mythology, a Wendigo was believed to be an evil spirit that possesses humans, and that spirit enters you by biting you. And that's how it gets in.

And then that person becomes cannibalistic or otherwise, you know, deranged or violent. And it said that some people are believed to be more susceptible than others, usually those who are greedy or gluttonous, as well as people who might be suffering from hunger or starvation. And they fall under any of those categories, you know, just violent, deranged, cannibalistic. Say, oh, they're going Wendigo.

And I've heard it Wendigo and Wendigo. I've noticed I've kind of used it interchangeably to Medotamacho. Sounds interesting. I'm not sure.

I can't say words like, I may see it either today. So, you know, just take whatever I say today with a huge grain of salt. Have an enough time. I actually heard that some people believe that Wendigo came about just to scare children, you know, parents are telling their kids scary stories to keep them in line.

Well, don't you think a lot of things like that are actually, you know, are, are, are tuba is really, you know, brought into existence by, you know, people themselves, you know, so that could, you know, I could certainly see that. Absolutely. Absolutely. So the first known written mention of a Wendigo came around in 1636 and it was a report by a fellow named Paul Lejeune.

He was a French Jesuit missionary who lived among the Algonquin people in what is now Quebec. And he described a woman who warns of an Achtin that had eaten some tribal members nearby and they would eat a great many more of them if you were not called elsewhere. So it wasn't called a Wendigo, it was called an action, ATCHEN, et cen. And in the 1800s and early 1900s, there were actually a few instances of murder and cannibalism in North America that were blamed on Wendigo.

One included a case in Alberta, Canada in 1879 where a Cree hunter and a trapper named Swiff runner claimed a Wendigo spirit had entered his dreams and told him to eat his family. Is this one that you were talking about? I don't think so. He was tried from murder found guilty and hanged for his crimes later that year.

And then there was another case in 1907 in the Sandy Lake First Nation community in Northern Ontario. Their shaman was called Jack Fiddler and his brother was Joseph Fiddler and they were charged with the murder of Joseph's stodron law. They strangled her because they didn't want her to be possessed by Wendigo. Jack Fiddler escaped the police and strangled himself.

I don't know if you would strangle yourself. I think you would just pass out. Hanging yourself. I guess you could hang yourself.

I mean, but that's funny they didn't call it hanged himself. I know, like strangled himself. And Joseph Fiddler died from tuberculosis in prison two years later in 1909. So, but Wendigo has actually become quite popular in plots of television and movies.

So if you think about like Hannibal, video games like Until Dawn and they even say comic books like Incredible Hulk and Wolverine. A Wendigo character also appears in the film The Lone Ranger, the 2013 version. And then director Scott Cooper and producer Guillermo de Torso's Antlers in 2021. There's a dear light creature that kind of combines supernatural horror and generational trauma in a small town kind of setting.

So they're pretty popular. Yeah, that's interesting that there's a current movie when I say current 2021. But Antlers, that might be one of the kind of take a look at it. Yeah, I've heard of it.

I don't get out much. I've never heard of any of that. You've never heard of Incredible Hulk? You know what?

I saw that horrible first Hulk movie and it turned me off for decades afterwards. I'm talking the original Bill Bixby one from the 70s. Oh, yeah, yeah. The Lou Ferrigno.

Yes. Yeah, I remember that. I remember watching that when I was a little unplanted. Thank you.

So anyway, Wendigo, my thoughts are, you know, maybe it came around from myth, but you know, maybe those myths came from some demonic run-ins. There's a lot of things there that to me just smack of demonic entities. So I'm going to say they're a manifestation of type three slash demonic entities. And also from when you say the myth, kind of the story and the things, these are stories with a moral to them.

Don't eat human flesh. There's things there. Don't be greedy. Almost a esophs fables kind of thing where there's something that happens because of the characteristics of the people do.

So I think that's an important part of the lore and the story of the Windy. Yep. I want to remind you about Supernatural Hour Swag at Advanced Paranormal.com for all of your paranormal accoutrements. Ooh, that's a word.

We are not skipping Jess's Stone and Emmet's segment as punishment. Jess couldn't be here today, so she can't do her stone if she's not here. And Emmet's just hasn't been feeling very good lately. I've had four broken ribs for a while and not fun.

Yeah, so we'll make it up to you one of these days. Yeah, our next podcast will have something fantastic. But I said, this is a good week to not be feeling up to doing a segment because I found something really cool. So in the junk drawer, what did you find that was really cool?

So okay, so let me tell you about the junk drawer. The junk drawer is sometimes we find little paranormal tidbits that are just not enough to do a whole segment on, but interesting. And you know how a junk drawer is, you're going to never know what you're going to find in there, right? There's everything from batteries to pens to...

If you go in my junk drawer, there could be a button taped to a stick. Why? We don't know. We don't know.

I was digging around and I found several little short stories about paranormal things in the battlefields in Afghanistan. And I thought, so I read through it. It's one of those things that's like, it's not enough to be a whole segment I don't think. A whole main topic?

A whole main topic, but I do think it's going to be in two or three junk drawers. So we're going to have a little junk drawer series. I actually cleaned out my junk drawer about two weeks ago. I threw away.

I bet you I'm not exaggerating. I bet you I threw away a hundred dead pens that don't work easily. Wow. So in our junk drawer, we're going to have five or six different little segments.

And then what did you show me that you got on Amazon? A whole box of pens. That work? And then I showed you a whole box of pens that work too, but they weren't the pens you loved.

Chad and I together own probably 10,000 writing utensils. Where do they all come from? Where do they come from? I don't know because I don't buy them.

I have to buy special pens because I have crappy handwriting with fine points. And I found on Amazon if you get big, bold. Oh, they are amazing. So I buy them and I have to hide them from my family only.

I can use them. This segment brought you by bold pens. Right? Big.

Big. You owe me so many. They were the best pens. They just, oh, they glides so smooth.

And I actually don't look like, oh, I don't look like I have Dr. handwriting. Sorry, Doc. We got 100 pens, but never where and when I need it.

Oh, yeah, then there's that. Yeah. No, I can write my best handwriting. We will get to the front door.

My best handwriting is one of those great big humongous sharpie pens with a big fat tip. Seriously, if I have a big fat marker, my handwriting looks beautiful. And if I have one of those fine pens, it just, my mind is not even right because you can't read it. I can't read it.

Okay. And she is telling the truth. When she does the posters for her bagpipe judging and is writing out the winners lists. She has a very nice handwriting for those.

Yeah. And when I write my own notes, yeah, Chad can't read them. He's like, what does this say? I don't know.

There we go. Junker. So these were just a bunch of different stories from American troops and some paranormal activity they experienced in the desert in Afghanistan. And if you think about it, this is a place that's been plagued by fighting and violence since the dawn of time.

Literally, it talks about wars and the people's in the Bible in this area. So there's been strife going on there for a very, very long time. So I'm just going to go through. I literally have eight pages of these, but they're just short stories.

So the story story comes through from one of the US Marines and he had some encounters with ghosts during his service. And one of these, he was sitting with some superiors and colleagues in a makeshift office in the desert and it had three rooms. And there were four other people in this room with him. So you can imagine, this isn't going to be a big spacious, comfortable office.

It's going to be something that's very portable, something that's quite small. And the person is telling the story. So he's got four people with him. He's standing near the back door.

And he noticed his lieutenant step through the door and enter a small adjoining contractor's office. He says he saw the man very clearly. And at this point, it's not a, in his eyes, it's not a paranormal activity at this point. He's standing there.

His lieutenant walks in and walks in the door. Some of the men that were with him said that they saw him too. And they said, and I'm just going to read this quote. He was wearing a frog suit and frog FROG.

You know what that means? And the military thing, I'm sure it stands for something. I was going to look at him and I forgot. But his frog suit and everything, nothing unusual about him.

He even had the mustache. So nobody in this room looked at this man in any way other than, oh, there's lieutenant. So and so. Thirty seconds later, a call came through asking for the lieutenant and the witnesses went to the contractor's office to get him.

And not just one, a couple of guys. Let's stand up and go chat. But they went into the room and it was empty. Nobody was there.

And there was no other door to that office. And there was no way that he could have gotten out without anybody's evening. The people that went to go get him came back and they said, did you see the lieutenant leave? And nobody had.

And it's not like one person just wasn't paying attention and didn't notice him leave. You know, because you've been in the kitchen and someone's been there with you and then you go to talk to him and they're not there and you're like, whoa, but you just, you know, we're busy. Four people did not see him leave. And they were all convinced that he was in there.

And they saw him come in. Nobody saw him come out, but he wasn't there. So they looked around. No one was there.

I mean, they went into all three of these rooms thinking, well, maybe we saw him go into another room, but this man was not in this little makeshift office. They said it's like the lieutenant had just disappeared. And so this was a quote by one of the witnesses. He said, I said disregard, Sergeant, nobody's around.

Looks like I was seeing things. Then my roommate, a fellow Lance, probably Lance Corporal says to me, that's bullshit. You and I both know somebody is in that room and I just said, nope, you saw it too. Someone walked in and nobody came out, but nobody is there.

So I thought that was interesting. Another incident, this happened in the very same office. It happened one evening, about 10 p.m. The witness says he was alone, working late, and he was on his way out the door when the contractor's room opened by itself and stayed open.

He went to investigate, shone a flashlight around, but he didn't see anything. Then he had a very strange feeling like he was being watched. He said it was just really unsettling. The very same witness claimed to have seen other strange things during his door.

He also says that there was a mysterious heat signature that he would see on his infrared equipment wandering and pacing around in the desert outside in the dark. But when they would put different cameras with different lights with an naked eye, there was nothing there and no response when they called out. The other thing I found interesting about this one is that those two stories happened in the same unit. It was the same office, the same soldiers.

Another witness who reported strange ghostly figures in that desert area claimed that his unit was plagued by the stories phantom. This phantom would appear around the outskirts of their canop and would vanish in the blink of an eye. This is the first time it appeared, it was just a little after dust, a couple hundred yards from where they were. One of them indescribed it as a random PBT.

I think that's what other people say, there's a person out there. I'm seeing a person in dust over there and they're going to check on it. Someone friendly is someone that's going to attack them. They called their sergeant over and the sergeant saw this person.

When asked where the figure had come from, their private explained that it had just popped up and whoever was out there was just standing motionless with his back to them. This is what the witness said. This is the quote from the witness. He says, so we watched this person for about three hours who just stands there motionless with his back to us.

You could put optics and see it was a person, adult male, average height and build. The best part, we borrowed and borrowed is in quotation marks. They stole it. A thermal monocular and this guy doesn't register in it.

Zero heat signature. He's got some effort in there. I'm bleeping those out. Then randomly poof, gone.

The random PBT spent the next six weeks telling everyone about the ghost we saw. Then about six months later, the same witness was out on patrol when two of people in his unit reported seeing two figures standing on top of a berm a couple hundred yards away. They were thinking it was an IED, which is an improvised explosive device. You know, they're thinking, oh, two people out there, we're going to get one up.

So they stopped the vehicle, they examined the figures, which appear to be managed standing again with their backs to them, which I think is interesting. You know, two different things back to them. And their motionless and would not respond when called to, which you kind of get. You know, if you're bad guys, you're going to pretend like you don't hear what the enemy is saying, right?

So motionless would not respond just like the strange phenomenon that they'd seen six months earlier. The lieutenant called in and some of the men got to go investigate. They're like, we're going to go see what these guys are up to. And so this is what the witness said happened.

We dismount the lieutenant calls over and ask if he knows what's going on. Everyone stares at him blankly in shrugs. They decide to go have a look and see and do some hearts and mind shit. I stay in the truck, which feels like it's 140 degrees.

20 minutes go by, lieutenant comes back with a weird look on his face and says we're out of here. Later that day I asked another guy what happened. He says they went within 50 yards of the people that they found and poof, they vanished. I said, what do you mean they vanished?

He just looks at me with his blank stare and says gone. They were there and then they worked. Interesting. This is the same unit that had the other guy that stood there for hours and then just vanished, right?

Yeah, and it happened about six months apart. Wow. And then one last one for the night and then we'll call this jump drawer good. He says in another account a Marine who served in Afghanistan and Yemen from 2009 to 2013 had this experience.

He says it was about one in the morning and they just set up a patrol base with four members of the squad while 17 other men in their squad were sleeping. And in front of their base was this huge open field and to the left, and they said this is a little spooky, but to the left there's an Afghan cemetery. And as the witness was looking out over the field on watch duty, he claims that a rock came hurling through the air and landed at his feet. He kind of thought this was weird and he kind of looked out to see if he could see anything.

But everything was wide open. He was in the spot, no hiding places. He couldn't see anybody. There was no movement.

And as he was looking, another rock was tossed in his direction from the field. So the soldier puts on his night vision equipment, but there was no heat signatures. No people, no heat signatures, nothing. And the night was completely quiet.

The field was totally empty yet another rock got thrown at him. And this is what he said about this incident. He said at this point I'm kind of freaked out. This happened right after my team leader died, so I was freaked out and nothing to rule out what through rocks at me because nobody was there.

Wow. So was it spirit cemetery? Was it is, you know, superior that it just passed messing with him? We don't know.

And they use military grade equipment too, you know, with the night vision. It's not consumer grade stuff that we usually use. Right. So if there was something there, if there was a human being there, there would have been some sort of a heat signature.

But thermal signature. And even with the ones that we use, which are not going to be military grade. So at this residential that we talked about earlier, I had put, I was standing at the foot of the bed and I had my little triangle shaped k2 meter, my new one. And I kind of slid my hands on the bed so that I didn't just fall down because I wanted it to be further in the middle of the bed for some reason.

And then I kind of drug my hands back. I don't know. But Brianna had the thermal camera. She was like, oh, there's two hotspots on the bed.

And I said, does it look like I did this? And then she's like, oh, yeah. And that's just with, you know, a consumer grade thermal camera. Right.

No, they, I mean, they work great for what we need. Oh, yeah. I've used a thermal camera before. I'm like, ooh, there's something there on the couch.

Oh, and it was just sitting there. Yeah. You know, so yeah, if there was something out there, there, those soldiers, infrared. They would have seen it.

Absolutely. Cool. All right. Well, today's spooky, my home to friends.
