Der junge Polizist Roland Fritsch übernimmt die Leitung der Sonderkommission – ein Wettlauf gegen die Zeit beginnt. Denn obwohl die Familie gar nicht wohlhabend ist, fordern die Entführer 2 Millionen D-Mark Lösegeld. Nach sieben Tagen scheint der Albtraum beendet.
