Were You There? – Morning Prayer for Good Friday

It’s Good Friday in the Church Calendar. April 7, 2023. Praying today for Yvonne in the US. This week we are following the Daily Office lectionary with an episode Monday through Friday. Our general order and lectionary comes from the Book of Common Prayer Daily Office. We’ll sing the African-American spiritual “Were You There?” We’ll read Psalm 22:1-11 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Gospel reading is John 19:16-24 . We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We’ll then have a time of prompted prayer.
