From San Diego, CA we're very excited to be featuring the musical stylings of Wes Smith and The Juice Squad in The Armory this week. Armed with a pocket full of stickers, Wes Smith is an established deejay, music producer and oh yeah, the Juice Recordings guy. With his 2013 release of “Bring Back That Funk” camping out in the Beatport Charts (30+ days at #1 and 150+ days in Top 10) and numerous other top charting singles, he is well…making shit happen. With official support from broken beat veterans like The Crystal Method, Lady Waks & a string of other heavy hitters 2014 has become a bit of a Hot Mess, The Album that is. As the creative force behind Juice Recordings, The Juice Squad, Sticky Bumps & A Tribe Called Wes, Wes Smith releases current originals, mixes & mashups from his alias monikers as well as actively working with long time collaborators and friends like DJ Fixx, BadboE, Kid Kenobi & DJ Love. Wes Smith’s creations have also been featured on other top labels such as Diablo Loco (Breakspoll 2012 Winner), Elektroshok, and The Pooty Club.
