West Point Veteran Caleb Cline Trikes to 10 World Records!

from Laidback Bike Report

Caleb Cline was hurt leading his Army unit in a training exercise. We feel  privileged to sit down with him to talk about his long road back to mental and physical health. That road included riding his trike to 10 new world records last April. Next we check in with our old pal AD Carson, founder of Recycled Recumbents. AD tells us about his show room rehab projects, the state of 2 wheeled bents, advice to families for disposal of your bents from the estate and his latest tour. Then we move on to Tray Bourgoyne's workshop where he shows us how to clean bike parts with ultrasound  and some trike wheel maintenance. Larry Ploetz returns this month to inform us on best practices for velomobile touring and upkeep. We'll finish off with sports news on the significant bent participation in the recent National Senior Games. Plus a bonus video from Honza and Matt Galat announcing the new collaboration between AZUB and the Ja Yoe Nation YouTube channel.00:00:00  Intro00:00:57  What’s on Today’s Show00:03:12  Panel Introduction00:05:50  Sponsor Introduction00:08:18  Recumbent News with Honza Galla00:22:20  Caleb Cline-West Point Grad Breaks 10 World Records on Trike00:50:24  AD Carson-Recycled Recumbents/Showroom/Estate Sales of Bents01:25:25  Larry Ploetz-Velo Touring and Mechanical Fixes02:01:08  Tray’s Workshop-Catrike wheel maintenance02:07:34  Sports Report-Larry Seidman talks about National Senior Games 202202:14:50  Sponsor Thanks02:17:15  Coming up next month02:18:05  Goodbye to panel and crewYouTube: https://goo.gl/CHOOgX Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/laidbackbikereport  Website: https://www.laidbackbikereport.com/Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/laidbackbikereport**Viewer Submissions or Questions**Send to [email protected]*Thanks to these wonderful sponsors*TerraCycle  https://t-cycle.com/  800-371-5871Trailside Trikes  https://trailside.bike/  352-419-4809TerraTrike/Greenspeed https://wizwheelz.com/  800-945-9910Laidback Cycles https://laidbackcycles.com/   916-619-1003Connecticut Yankee Pedaller http://www.cypbikes.com/  641-774-5557Bicycle Man https://bicycleman.com/ 607-587-8835AZUB https://azub.eu/  RecumbentPDX https://recumbentpdx.com/  (503) 231-1000Eco Cycles https://www.eco-ebike.com/ (833) 693-2453Matt Galat  https://www.youtube.com/c/JaYoeNationCaleb Cline https://www.facebook.com/caleb.cline.14AD Carson Recycled Recumbents  https://sites.google.com/site/recycledrecumbents/Larry Ploetz  [email protected] Bourgoyne  [email protected]*LBR Crew Links*-Recumbent News-online news website by Honza Galla  https://www.recumbent.news/-BentRider/Larry Varney  http://www.bentrideronline.com/-Doug Davis Bicycle Evolution  https://www.bicycle-evolution.com/-Nina Paley’s Links-Nina’s blog  https://blog.ninapaley.com/-Nina’s bike merchandise  http://www.palegraylabs.com/other-stuff-1/protective-bicycle-amulet-Peter Stull  https://bicycleman.com/-Josef Janning  https://www.facebook.com/josef.janning-Tim Segard https://www.bentrevolution.com/**The absolute best archive of early recumbent history is Recumbent Cyclist News**  Find years of publisher Bob Bryant’s hard work here:  https://rcnpdf.com/Support the show
