West Virginia Mountaineers Rising | Big 12 Basketball News

Jeff Goodman has West Virginia ranked sixth in the Big 12 — a bold prediction that signals the Mountaineers are poised to make noise. Under second-year coach Ross Hodge, they’ve rebuilt with a stacked roster featuring top-15 recruiting and transfer talent, including Joson Sanon, Finley Bizjack, Mohammed Sylla, Seydou Traore, and freshman guard Miles Sadler. Last season’s mixed record ended on a high note with a championship win, shifting the program’s momentum. With deeper talent and fresh energy, WVU is aiming for their first NCAA Tournament since 2023 — and if Goodman’s hype holds, they could be the Big 12’s biggest dark horse.
