From 1876 to 1995, the West Virginia Penitentiary was an active, working prison. It was known as one of the top 10 most violent prisons in America with CONSTANT rapes, murders, executions and just down right violence to inmates as well as guards. Also set on Indian Burial grounds, this place is thought to be cursed. It is known to be INCREDIBLY haunted even to say as one of THE MOST haunted places in America as well.
