Western Conference Finals Update May 30th, 2026

Game 7 of the 2026 Western Conference Finals was a slugfest between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder with San Antonio pulling it off 111 to 93 to win the series. The play of the game occurred with under six minutes left in the game when Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein had his dunk blocked by Spurs center Luke Kornet changing the course of the game in favor of San Antonio. The Earvin “Magic” Johnson Western Conference Finals MVP award was presented to Spurs center Victor Wembanyama as he scored 22 points. Also contributing to the win was Julian Champagnie as he scored 20 points, Stephon Castle scored 16 points, De’Aaron Fox scored 15 points, Dylan Harper finished with 12 points, and Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson both finished with 11 points. Meanwhile, for the Thunder Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 35 points, Cason Wallace had 17 points, Jared McCain and Alex Caruso both had 12 points, Jaylin Williams scored 11 points, Isaiah Hartenstein had seven points, Chet Holmgren finished with only four points and Lu Dort had three points shooting only one for four from the field. Now, this sets the stage for the Spurs first NBA Finals appearance since 2014 and a finals rematch against the New York Knicks. The last time San Antonio and New York met in the NBA Finals was 1999 with the Spurs winning the championship four games to one in a five-game series.
