Western to Launch New School with Historic Donation

Last week, Western State Colorado University unveiled plans for a new undergraduate program to be housed in a 75,000 square-foot building under construction now. It’s made possible with a donation of $80 million by Paul M. Rady, a 1978 Graduate of Western. It's the largest donation in the history of the school and one of the largest in the history of Colorado public universities, and it comes at a time when similar institutions are struggling. The new Paul M. Rady School of Computer Science and Engineering will offer degrees through the University of Boulder Colorado while students remain on the Western campus for the length of their tenure. Western President Greg Salsbury told KBUT, “This is quite literally Western’s greatest opportunity in its history to evolve into a serious force in education and technology.”
