Wests Tigers Podcast 0223

from Wests Tigers Podcast · host Joel Helmes

Almost all of the Wests Tigers' first-grade squad reconvenes at Concord this week for the official start of pre-season. But, there appears to still be some question marks over who, and who might not be, Wests Tigers in 2023. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel Helmes is joined by Garry Watson and Steve Stretton for a look at the latest Wests Tigers news. We start off with a discussion around the Phil Rothfield 'Shoosh' piece that came out in the Daily Telegraph yesterday. The veteran rugby league journalist said an unnamed Wests Tigers "star" was so disappointed in the way Jackson Hastings was treated by the club that he is now looking at making an exit. Hit play or download to catch a discussion around the renaming of the Wests Tigers Centre of Excellence. The $80 million dollar facility is now known as the 'Zurich Centre', we give the club a well-deserved pat on the back for their corporate sponsorship credentials. Tim Sheens has declared the Wests Tigers rebuild is far from over. We discuss what further moves might be in the pipeline. We also take a punt on who might be the next current Wests Tiger to leave. Future recruitment is also discussed with a look at Mitch Moses and Dylan Brown, and which of the two Eels would be a better fit for us. And then it's quiz time! Steve and Garry go head to head over questions surround the people who have been head coach at Wests Tigers, and some headscratchers over player names and initials.
