Wests Tigers Podcast 0299

from Wests Tigers Podcast · host Joel Helmes

We're nearly there! Both Wests Tigers Podcast episode 300 and the kick-off to the Wests Tigers season are imminent. But, on the edge of these two milestones, we have a lot to discuss on this edition of the pod, including...and this seems a bit of a shock and certainly a first on this pod, Greg Inglis! Out of the blue, Inglis is seen at Wests Tigers headquarters in Wests Tigers colours. We now know that the former South Sydney star has taken up a mentoring and support role with our young fullback, Jahream Bula. Eddie Otto, Steve Stretton, and Garry Watson discuss the influence that Inglis might have on Bula and the club in general. The boys also take a look at the recent interview Benji Marshall did with journalist Brent Read.  There were some interesting comments in there by the head coach, including the prospect of rookie Lachlan Galvin being a genuine chance of selection. This was followed up by another article by The Mole that said Galvin, who was dubbed "the next Nathan Cleary" in the article, was looking likely to take the number 6 Wests Tigers jersey in Round Two. There was speculation in that story that Jayden (Bud) Sullivan and Latu Fainu were in doubt due to injuries. Garry has an update on all of that. New recruit Justin Olam also comes up on the agenda with concerns the former Storm centre might have some injury issues himself. And then the boys put the Wests Tigers 2024 backs and halves under the microscope to see how we're shaping up and what our all-important depth looks like.
