Wetherholt Near Return Before Season Ends | St. Louis News

St. Louis Cardinals rookie JJ Wetherholt is inching closer to returning from wrist tendinitis, with a potential comeback as early as Wednesday—just in time for the team’s crucial final homestand. His progress hinges on how he responds to Monday’s hitting session and Tuesday’s pregame workout. If he clears Wednesday, he’ll have just ten games left to make an impact; if not, Thursday’s series opener could be his next shot—with only twelve games remaining in the season, every day counts.
