Send us Fan MailHowdy Bitch Talkers! We're taking you back to the March 22 online event that we hosted for San Francisco non-profit WeXL with film financier Chiquita Banks, Esq. We were drawn to host this event because filmmakers and/or creatives need to understand insider knowledge of how projects get made in Hollywood - let's get rid of the gatekeepers already! Chiquita has a wealth of knowledge of how film projects are funded, how streaming has taken over the industry, how Covid changed the way we watch everything, the right and wrong ways (and when) to vet projects, the ways in which filmmakers should educate themselves on what it takes to make a film (first stop - create a budget!), and so much more. We're also excited to be in partnership with WeXL! WeXL is a non-profit that focuses on uplifting  non-normative voices in the media and arts world. WeXL is run by a truly badass Filipina named Arabella DeLucco whose commitment to diverse storytelling is contagious.
