AJ survived a profound near death experience after his final overdose in 2014 during the opioid epidemic. He describes leaving his body, standing above two paramedics working on him, and being able to simultaneously exist in multiple places just by thought. He experienced a life review where he felt the pain he caused others through their eyes, traveled through hyperspace passing stars, and arrived at a vibrant landscape with colors he'd never seen, extinct animals like wooly mammoths, creatures that don't exist on Earth, and angels of all different sizes.
