What a Venture Socialist Economy Looks Like | 8/5/25

from Conservative Review with Daniel Horowitz · host Blaze Podcast Network

Imagine an economy dominated by one industry — AI — in which all of the growth comes from a few companies, yet they are yielding few jobs. Well, that is the economy we are living in today. The very deficit spending that has crushed affordability for consumers has propped up a handful of companies. Today, I explain how the AI data center economy is unnatural and only facilitated by government policies, but consumers will be left holding the bag when the bubble pops. Next, we’re joined by Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) from the road, who updates us on everything he’s been working on — from the Texas floods and the spending bills to health care and immigration.  He explains how he has to balance fighting for liberty in a body with few Republicans who share our values. He also raises concerns about the fake economy in health care being modeled now in tech. Texas is one of the biggest targets for data centers gobbling up water during a time of drought. Finally, will Chip take his energy to state politics? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
