What Am I Seeking? (Inspired by Fakir Lalon Shah’s song “Ki Shondhane Jai Shokoli Bhrom”)

There are moments in life when every step feels uncertain — when even the path we once trusted seems to fade beneath our feet. It is then that the ancient question returns, as old as the first human breath: “What am I seeking?” Centuries ago, on the banks of the Padma, a wandering soul named Fakir Lalon Shah asked that same question. He did not ask it from a throne, or from the pages of any scripture. He asked it barefoot, under the open sky, with nothing but an ektara in his hand and silence in his heart.
