In this episode of the Travis Rutland Podcast (Ep. 001), I begin a foundational series on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Turning to Acts 1:8 and 1 Corinthians 12, I teach what the gifts are, how they operate, and why Jesus first promised power before manifestations. As a Pentecostal, Spirit-filled church, we believe these gifts are active for today and given for the strengthening of the body of Christ. The gifts are diverse, distributed by the Holy Spirit, and given to every believer for the profit of all. But more than chasing gifts, we must first receive the power of the Holy Spirit that transforms us, frees us, and equips us to live boldly for Christ.
