What Are You Really Afraid Of? | Matthew 10:26-33 | Pastor Nick ScheskeFear rarely shows up looking like fear. It shows up as stress, frustration, the need for everyone to like you, the need for everything to go according to plan. In this message from Matthew 10, Jesus addresses the disciples before sending them out and he tells them three times: Don't be afraid. Not because fear isn't real. Because fear has more of a hold on us than we think.We look at three layers Jesus exposes: the fear of what people think, the fear of what we might lose, and what it actually looks like to live from a different foundation. The question isn't whether you have fear. The question is what fear has a hold of you.
