What Can Adults Learn From a Children's Chess Coach? with Special Guest Rob Soul

from RiseAum Radio · host Angelo De Ieso

"Most chess coaches teach chess as a highly individual game. And certainly I’m not suggesting you play all your games in consultation, which is the chess way of saying that you’re teaming up with someone. One or two like that might be fun for you though. Try it out. I’ll warn you, it can be hard to find opponents for that kind of game. You’re better off playing correspondence games. More on that during the lessons. The point is, I discovered that in order to get them to really play  strong chess, I had to convey to the kids the importance of using teamwork.  And when I say teamwork in chess, I mean directing the pieces and pawns  to where they can do their respective jobs effectively."  -Coach Rob  Soul   Learn more from Coach Rob Soul at https://www.kidsnchess.com Thanks to Mallory Murray for being my co-host on the Purveyors of Health.
