What Cannot Be Shaken: Learning to Love What Lasts

At the end of the Coptic year, the Church turns our eyes toward eternity. Christ tells us, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away” (Mark 13:31), while Hebrews reminds us that we are receiving “a kingdom which cannot be shaken.” Fr. David contrasts the worldly things that are temporary, and Christ and His Kingdom, that remain. This sermon reflects on Heaven, suffering, St. Paul, St. Euphemia, and the Church’s call to “lift up your hearts” and learn to love what lasts.
