Jessica Taylor's remains told the story twice — once in the woods of Manorville in 2003, and again along Ocean Parkway near Gilgo Beach in 2011. Two locations, forty miles apart, eight years between discoveries, the same victim. She was twenty years old, working near Port Authority in the same Midtown neighborhood where Rex Heuermann ran his architecture practice. And forensic anthropology connected tool marks on her bones to those found on Valerie Mack — the same type of instrument, the same characteristics, years apart.Jessica was the youngest of the women Heuermann was charged with killing. Heuermann pleaded guilty to her murder as part of the agreement covering seven victims, and admitted to an eighth. He confirmed strangulation as the cause of death for each.
