Some of us were taught that they’re physical places, completely separate from our lives on earth, and our goal in life is to “get into” heaven or “stay out” of hell. Some of us are so uncomfortable with the idea of hell that we just ignore it, or stop believing in its reality. The truth is, we know heaven and hell are real — Jesus talked about them. But, there are so many misconceptions about them, and some of us have meandered far from the truth of what they really are.
