When special counsel Robert Mueller announced indictments for Donald Trump’s former campaign adviser, Paul Manafort and campaign aide Rick Gates and unsealed a plea deal made for false statements by campaign volunteer George Papadopoulos, it led to more questions than answers. Tasked by the Justice Department back in May to pursue alleged Russian efforts to help Donald Trump win the 2016 presidential election and investigate any possible collusion between Trump campaign staff and Moscow, Monday’s announcement was the first major public move that  Mueller has made.
