What Do People Know About Surviving a Brain Injury with Host Michael Idell -

People dont like to be judged but they do it themselves. In the public eye, people see what they see but they dont know what is behind someone's eyes, a hidden disability. People don't understand a cognitive disability, the history behind a person's life, or what makes a person who they are now. People don't understand emotional imbalances, over sensitive people, post traumatic stress disorder, or why some people reach out so much for acceptance of who they are now.These are all common circumstances due to a brain injury... insecurity about who they are now and who they once were.  People surviving a brain injury have many personal obstacles they have had to accomplish to get back on their feet or are still trying to accomplish that. It has an emotional impact - the personal battle during recover, acceptance of who they are now, adandonment of friends and family, the neglect of loved ones to understand brain injury affects have on an individual, and (for those who don't look disabled), the understanding of why an individual tries so hard to be accepted by other who don't have a brain injury.
