Craig's guest is newly sworn in Washtenaw County Prosecutor Eli Savit. Since taking office in early January, Savit has been making some significant changes to the way the office handles cases, especially when it comes to things like cash bail, ending so called "zero tolerance" policies for certain drug offenses, and now, an announcement that consensual sex crimes will not be prosecuted.   Savit says "Everyone involved in the justice system—crime survivors, defendants, witnesses, and families—deserves to have their unique case treated with the care that it deserves. That is how the Prosecutor’s Office will proceed moving forward."
