What does the Coles and the ACCC ruling mean?

Last week saw a landmark ruling when the High Court found that Coles Supermarket misled shoppers through its ‘Down Down’ discount campaign which illegally increased the price of an item for ashort period before then discounting it to a price above the previous long-term price.
