What Easter Really Means – Hope, Forgiveness & Victory

from Go When God Calls · host Angie Wheeler Sibia

Episode Description: This Easter week, I’m sharing what I taught our boys here at Beacon of Hope Africa about Holy Week—from Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday. We talk about how Jesus didn’t come just to fix our problems but to save our hearts, how He chose forgiveness even in pain, and what it means that the curtain in the temple was torn. This episode walks through the timeline of Holy Week, the power of the cross, and the hope we have because Jesus rose again. We also reflect on the Lord’s Supper, the silence of Saturday, and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Most of all, I pray this reminds you that Jesus’ sacrifice made a way for you to have direct relationship with God—and His resurrection gives us victory and hope, no matter what we face. 📖 Scriptures Read in This Episode: Matthew 21:9 – “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!” John 13:14–15 – “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” Luke 22:42 – “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Luke 23:34 – “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Matthew 27:51 – “At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split.” 1 Peter 1:3 – “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” John 14:16–17 – “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.” Until next time, remember—He is risen, and because He lives, we have hope. 💛Thanks for listening, and I’ll see you next week on Go When God Calls. 🎧 Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share this episode with someone who needs the reminder that God still protects, prayer still works, and Jesus is always near.
