So, Sam again, because people won't have their pen and paper ready and then you get yelled at on Twitter because you didn't say so. John Rahm, Tony Fino, Kentucky, Metziyama, Scottie Scheffler, Matt Coocher and Ian Polker. And that puts you right on the number, zero remaining salary. And we'll see what happens.
I had to make a decision there at the top with either Bryce and a Rahm and I decided to go with Rahm. It was a little bit cheaper. Just because you got to boost yourself at the bottom there and with your lower salary players, you got to squeeze Polker in as opposed to some $6,000 guys. So, there we go.
Let's see what happens with that lineup and we'll talk to some of some Masters picks actual bets and head to heads and top 10s and 20s later in the show. Game day going Augusta. You ready? I'm ready.
I've worked every turn every Masters. I've been to everyone since 2012. So, it's going to feel weird to be sitting there Thursday in the hotel after I get my test done just kind of watching it and not really working it and getting ready for game day but crossing over with some Masters. I'm going to be dialed in and tweeting some stuff out anyway because I'm not going to have much to do in the room.
It's going to be kind of cold to sit up there on the on the par three course and have some some doll stuff in the show. Like, we've had a bunch of ideas that have been kicked around. I don't want to give them all away because in case something happens and it doesn't happen but it's not going to be a college game day previewing the Masters. It's going to be a college game day at the Masters.
We're going to talk college football. We're going to talk about the games. We're going to preview the day. We're going to wear applicable.
We'll have a little intersection of golf in college football but it should be a very fun show. Then after the show Kirk, Maria and myself will head up to Ann Arbor for the Michigan Wisconsin game at ABC Print. That's right. What a great primetime game we have this week.
Huh? Yeah. Was that it? Was that it?
Did we take that one over Penn State in Nebraska? No, no, yes, we believe it or not. We did. I imagine that.
But again, this is a big time prime weekend. We may as well just start there. I mean, they're a ton of stories in this game. What was that last week for Michigan?
I mean, wow, you talk about a defense that just looked terrible in offensive line. I know they had some injuries and some issues but the offensive line didn't look good. Like that was not not what I expected at all for Michigan last week. And now as a result, I need to go shopping and preparing some values for my for my good friends in Bloomington because I have to make a long term commitment here to the Hoosiers.
But in looking towards this week, though, I know Wisconsin's playing. Do we still know like who's playing, who's out, any other names, and maybe have come out or not? I still think there's a lot of uncertainty and question marks. How long did they practice?
Who's practiced? Who hasn't like this line is teamed up to do Wisconsin. Now I think like four, four and a half points favorite. This game kind of reminds you a little bit of the Michigan Notre Dame game last year, late in the year, where everybody was ready to just absolutely dump and quit on Michigan.
They're done. Harbaugh can't win a big game. He's fired. And they went out and absolutely crushed Notre Dame.
I'm not saying that's going to happen again because we know Harbaugh hasn't won a game at Michigan as an underdog. This is the first time they're a home dog or someone other than Ohio State under Harbaugh. But I don't know with so much uncertainty on the Wisconsin side. Maybe I'm just being a little paranoid and maybe worked to find and the backs are fine on their lines.
Maybe everything's good to go. They're going to come out and prove they're just a better team. But I'd be a little hesitant right now until I get more information that really stepping forward in this game if you want to lay the points with Wisconsin. Okay.
I saw Hutchinson's out for the year for Michigan. They can't rush the person. I was at this game last year on the sidelines. And I think I left a little after that.
I mean, I didn't went back. I can't believe this score was only 35-14. That was the final. That was 28-0 in a blink and they dominate them.
Every single facet. Obviously, Mertz. We do have only the data point. We only have one on Wisconsin, right?
That Friday night against Illinois. And in that game, they didn't run the ball well. And that was very uncharacteristic of Wisconsin. Now, that's the first game jitters.
But on the zone scheme, they run an offensive line and not being on the same page. We have seen what the line has become since that game. Because people were a ball game last year. You weren't certain now.
They go and get rolled. They lost their quarterback the morning of the Purdue game. And it's similar thing to what we thought Michigan after the Minnesota game. What a great win.
And we've seen what Minnesota has become. So a lot of overreaction from week one. Yeah. So I had, when it first came out, Michigan was favored and then more news comes out.
But now it seems to be a lot more stuff floating up around. So yeah, that's good intel from a man that is prepping to fly to Ann Arbor for that game. What else sticks out to you this week? Is that the right question?
It's lines that stink volume 11. You have three laws for junior tech coming off of an embarrassing loss. Liberty favored over a Miami team that really, really was a big loser last week with congratulations. By the way, I just want to, I just want to, I just want to, I just want to congratulate you on your Irish and the outright money line kick getting the, getting the people, the outright dog winner, congratulations on that little weird end of game situation there.
Whether it was a rest, whether it was Clemson, I had like half an eye on it in the truck as our game was wrapping up right around the same time. But, uh, I'm glad to you for not falling asleep during a Stanford Oregon game. But that was, that was interesting. Well, the good thing is I got the nap on the flight out.
Okay. And then I shut it down once I got back to the, uh, the hotel there and we were good, but congratulations on the other one with the Irish and that looks like we're up steamrolling towards a rematch in the ACC championship game. And that gets me to what like Miami, they were a big loser last week. Everybody was assuming Clemson was going to win.
And then you probably would have had this debate about a one loss Clemson or one loss Notre Dame versus a potential one loss Miami, uh, coming down to a tie break where it's a CFP power ranking tiebreaker. But that doesn't look like where we're headed anymore. I'm curious to see Miami's defense did not look good last week. I finally got the big turnover late.
Thank God for being by the way. Great. How great was he, uh, in that game? But now again, you have this with top 10 one loss team on the road is an underdog to a team that just lost the liberty.
So, uh, try to, try to like, if you think back to last year because I like, obviously I like looking at these things up just from a note standpoint twice last year, we had three teams with at least three losses that were favored over teams with zero or one loss. I had Iowa, who was favored against Minnesota won the game. Miami, who was favored over Virginia won the game. Again, small sample size, but, uh, I just like to look these things up and happen twice last year and the, the race arrived our favorite did win in a couple of games.
Okay. And that's why those lines stink. So listen to the man. What's, uh, what's the, I was trying to look it up.
What I always find Miami going to Blacksburg fascinating because they have had a couple wins. And then I always feel like it gets overshadowed by that. What was that one year they went up for a big time match up and they got killed. What was that?
Well, well, well, not well, 20 years ago, you say that one 99 was the year, the great year for the Hokies and Miami went up there. I think it was either Dorsey came into the game or because Kenny Kelly got injured or doors. I forget exactly what it was. Yes.
But, um, that's, it was an absolute, I mean, that was a great picture to tech team and that was a Miami team, which was still getting up to numbers off of it. Was that like 49 nothing or something? Uh, no, I think it was, I think Miami might have scored early. Yeah.
That's right. Maybe they went up some, I gotta look at the side. Syracuse game I believe that year was the 49 nothing game. Okay.
All right. I'm gonna get that Miami Virginia Tech 99 score right now just because I'm curious. I was watching. You know, I'm gonna have to find 43 10 Syracuse game was 62.
Wow. And then I'm classic the other day. I didn't get a chance to see how it ended was the 97 game. Canes at Hokies and there was a serious James Jackson in the snow.
There was there was some there was some talent on that field that put it that way. Oxidine run a little option in the backfield edge. Was that edges last year? No, it was last year was 98.

This line is so glad to see we started something and and uh, those um, that was the number one game that was brought up like why the heck is Miami getting more Virginia Tech just lost the liberty? How about the end of that Liberty game? Unbelievably.

And I believe the story is he went over to get one more practice kick in before the game, before the real kick. He missed the net in the ball when he did the stance. And he came out and he made the kick to win the game though. But, uh, I'll never forget, Drake, why on that Carolina?

But anyway, enough about timeouts and kickers and that stuff. Um, what else? Rigs? No, no, Notre Dame, right under two touchdowns on the road against BC, but this one might have like a reverse think factor too because BC I think it's gonna be a real trendy dogs.
I think if people are gonna try all what happened last time they beat Notre Dame beat number one, it was a 27 years ago, a following weekday, they lost the Boston College and I don't know, it does seem like a lot. Again, you're giving away a key number of 14 and we've seen BC be a very live frisky dog this year and a lot of instances. You've got players in offense and you've got the of the to see how the Irish bounce back emotionally from that big win because he saw the scene after the game and And now you have to play I guess I would consider a rival given the history between These these two Catholic schools and some of the games that they've been involved in but first glance it does seem like a Lot of points especially with a BC team that is able to score some points Yeah, it's I keep looking at the over-underbear. It's 49 and a half last year of Notre Dame gave it to him And I think I don't with with with your kovik.
It's It's a weird dynamic there, you know, they've gone back to run in the ball a lot since starting a season just chucking all over the place So their their numbers are starting to you know not go back to the Dazio's run game But it's it's really interested to see what happens half Lee who I mean they didn't slow down Clemson, you know And listen going back to last week. I loved what Notre Dame defensively did and they gave up 40 points Like I thought they did they tackle they put pressure on the quarterback They put put him in bad situations and Clemson just has that many guys to overcome things like that But like I thought They made they made ooh, you know stay in the pocket and do some things that he showed he definitely can do it I can't believe he's not gonna probably play another step the rest of the season Oh, but yeah, that over-under I'm really interested in no-names offense That's where that's where it comes out where things like this and and people always you know starting to doubt them That's where you know a good defensive coordinator can maybe you know seek out some things and point out with you know Attack some weaknesses on the name's office But I'll tell you what I don't think there are much because in what they don't get with separation with the receivers They just have the big bodies that can catch the ball and books a guy that's gonna give him a chance to make a play on the edge And the run game is as solid as anybody I do have to call them the best offensive line of the country now that they did win After I said that last week even though I still think Alabama's better, but I will call them the name number one That game is not like that Fenway or anything right is that Chestnut Hill? No, that's under the under the most all lights Alumni stadium and chestnut all there that they're taping up the field hockey lines as we speak It's the way it's it's it's gotta be up there as the worst set up right That I'm just whining someone someone who works on college Oh, we'll be listening to this if you could be shaking his head so mad right now It's the worst set up it's the worst set up come on like the first thing you do when you go there They're like all right can't parking lot that I'm like oh park right there right next to the stadium right open lot right there No way You got to be given over $25,000 a year apart there. What you guys can't get 12 people inside your stadium, correct?
Then if you're really gonna take a shot all or something I went up there for a gambling Michigan my senior high school I went up there I said Thank you pass. I'm gonna add a one of the hasslebacks came in that night and started whipping it around everybody's like hey I sold back kids better But those were the days 95 Well, it's here. Oh, we got Florida Rosedale on the line we do both teams are red-hot I'm trying to Minnesota One last year after I think it was five in a row I will one Sounds about right if you got more Go for some average in like 440 yards a game, but what are they giving up? Certainly not the problem.
It's the other side of all that I think you can can Iowa exploit that I mean they finally got right last week. I was a big win for them against Michigan State So let's lay in a link three and a half on the road Yeah, you know You know it reminds me of is what LSU with Minnesota Did we really believe they got everything fixed after a win in Champagne like just like everybody was you know what oh? They got everything back. We're good.
We beat South Kakalaka at home. We're good and then you all get steamroll Yeah, that's I'd like to see more from both these teams because I what I saw last I know it's Michigan State in a tough spot for for Sparty But what I saw last week from Iowa is what I expected this year like I the threshold of power of teams and that divisions is not that big and For them to start Owen to was was really tough That gets me to the other team that they played earlier this year and that's Northwestern I know people could say what they want about the competition, but look what Maryland's done since they got whipped by Northwestern The brass go good thing. They got rid of their offensive coordinator because they're really white. I mean what is going on Lincoln She just played a calf recall it.

They haven't given up a point in the second half the entire year I want to say I had another snapper for the three touchdowns It has they have given up to the possessions started inside the Northwestern 10 yard line and the other started inside Northwestern's territory the seventh in the country and scoring defense so that's a big one against Purdue or what do you think have you or anything about run down more?
It's just like yeah, I'm I'm I'm I'm opting back in but I haven't heard anything But what was what they have with with Bell and some of the other weapons? Yeah, they might not need them Well, it's a Bell 22 catches 243 and four touchdowns a share what's wrong with that before before the year I had before the year before we are in the situation that we did I mean for Purdue was one of my better season When total to team I expected a lot from this year and they somehow won that game against Iowa They want to get I would I would take the if I apply this game. And you got a Nebraska team that's incapable of scoring as well and if you go back since the 2017 win at Purdue the brass is lost 15 straight games as an underdog 2017 the last time they pulled it upset and they have a one they have a one a home game as an underdog since that weird 2015 game against Michigan State Straight losses is a home dog by an average 23 points a game. That was already five years ago. Geez. I remember watching that one You had you had a brass See what time is that game that's all that's noon kickoff on the ones first fun, you know, nice Anything they were getting that one is that three or three and a half three and a half see the hook up I see majority three and a half.

I'd love for them all both the undefeated and taking into there. That would be great I don't know what else is out there. I don't know if it's a possibility, but it'll be great to get into to Liberty at coastal liberty at coastal On the teal Has the better win. Liberty has the two two better ones.
I think Between a tech and Kansas that they could both better wins than They're a little assertive syndrome I'm gonna say liberty one Coastal minus five really yeah This is good that I'm way off because I think when people probably all yet sure gets the first one right out of the head He knows all out of time Okay, how about um Oh, yeah, so before that liberty's got western carolina this week. They should win by a million then Then they have at NC State then you mass then coastal so they got some mention They got a chance to get a couple more notches. I mean they get that win at NC State. Look out That's it.
That's a formidable resume. It's three ACC wins Syracuse isn't gonna have three ACC wins. No, no, there's still a bunch of teams that aren't gonna Uh, and then one last hypothetical because I still am not giving up on this game And I know people are already putting Notre Dame into the ACC title game, but Notre Dame still has a trip to chapel hill. What do you think that line is Notre Dame at chapel hill right now?
hmm Notre Dame four and a half Notre Dame minus seven So, okay, yeah, so that's that's interesting to me Like I said, I don't see if I'm background. I'm just throwing the ball every single play I'm not trying to run because that's only the only way you could win Uh, all right back to the slate. How about our Terps? How about that win?

Yeah, florida arkansas van de kentucky and uh, all miss self-duralina Um Interesting games about interesting games though. By the way, but arkansas has been super live under super live underdog all year They're 12th in the country in terms of uh expected points from their defense Uh, the leap a frank's going back there should be four and two 17 It's a big number with a team there is in a perfect letdown spot. I was Yeah, it does seem like arkansas arkansas passed from me in that game in terms of a t s And then I don't think pit's gonna play either after that hit. I wouldn't think so.
I wouldn't think so either and then and then self-duralina Seriously, you had a week so an extra week to get ready for a and m and that's what you came up with That was just a despicable hideous performance. I mean it's here. They're terrible And then your defense has given up over 500 yards a game in the last three weeks You have to beat all of them because all of them couldn't stop turning the ball over and you beat bandy because bandy's terrible But but that's that's where you are and now you're going out for it and facing a really good offense I don't know that one of course, it'll be a perfect spot where septor alina will we'll blow up and they'll bounce back But Not much on paper makes you think that septor alina is gonna have Much success this week about three I watched don't get mad at me, but I watched some of Vanderbilt missippie state last week Just because I want just because I wanted to yeah, you know, do you know vanderville out gained a missippie state? I think I was their first game rolled it up on our minute men last week They're not going to get the ECU game back Um, it's it's tough because they're gonna run they're gonna go undefeated, but they Port back not a good year for the old qsa. There's not much. There's not much to write home about Uh, are they gonna play that now they're still doing divisions They would match up with who's at uab right now?

We know what happened to ECU at Tulsa came back last week with a sub Subpar effort since an ad we know what that's eggs, but I think sincinatic scores a lot more than they have Um, I know he's not what everybody wants a quarterback where he has been better and he has been getting the job done I like over the total friday night, uh, historic nipper stadium Uh for their They see his defenses approved, but still it's not a uh and sennady's got a smart man They gotta get some they gotta get some style points So I think they're gonna try and get some things going they're fun team to watch man. Yes, uh, I would play the three eyes that I would play the win Are uh are the three obvious ones brison rom and and then female. I mean If brison is going to be hitting driver 353 degree wedge on on on 13 like that's that's a massive massive massive advantage Uh, and I think a little bit of a misconception about about brison too with the poly can't putter to gust Two of his three trips to augusta. He's been in the top 10 and putty from tournament But you know in those same rounds he's been 30 or the worse in green from regulation So like what what that tells me is if this new strategy of just rip it rip it and give yourself the The shortest distance slash best angle to a green regardless of whether it's in a neighboring hole or not Like green's regulation go up easier pots to continue to make pots at that rate You make it buries and set up bars like that. That's bad news So uh, I mean to shambles one of those guys I keep going out and shoot 65 to on thursday And that's that you're never going to get each one on them.

I think than the rest of the field on those three days So he's given himself a chance. He's finishing the top two top 10 rather each in the last two years Maybe with a little bit of a lack of pressure on him this year because so many people are talking about brison I think he's got a shot.
Um, tony phenels the other guy i'm playing a win. I mean people people like to poke fun because oh, People are tony pheno every tournament is gonna be but no one's got more top 10s and majors a little less three years than phenem does So you would dress your stake accordingly a bet him in the top 10 heavily He put a little something on the winning case he finally does close one out, but the guy was in the final group last year here I think he's put himself in position a couple times in the final group and he was up when you're too So he's been there in terms of strokes game like his strokes playing off the strokes game on approach If you read a japita's publication about uh, strokes game at augusta like he's right there The putting of them down last year so they see now right around 30 to one is worthwhile I play him again top 10 top 20 as well All these things are up on the uh on the website right now as well weather's gonna be an issue Yes, but I don't think as much as we initially hot. He's the equipment deal where he changed clubs and backed into tailor made where he played so well with and Guy guys been searching and He's been in the process of relocating his family from four hour to back to england So he's just had a lot of off the course stuff as well, but but again Just a rose guy who has as many uh top 10s and close calls and it doesn't anybody except he's up to one again You certainly can invest 10 bucks or whatever in a lot worse things than that Um, I also sort of like dj here because no one's really talking about him.
Yeah, I mean you're getting 10 to one I like can't lay two Yeah, can't wait can't leave so can't leave dj or two guys that I would certainly play for the top 10 Uh, exactly one last week. I actually had him last year at Uh 50 something to one and uh he gets ran out of holes But I think he's a guy who I'm more pegging for the top 10 than the win But but you're right dj. I think it's like in his last six tournaments.
I think he has something worse than six He's got like three runners up. I think in the last few majors. So he's been right there It would be no shock to to see him win again. I think you can find him around around even money or plus one 10 To finish in the top 10 and I think that's certainly I know with a lot of these calls I do on on jocke And where I try to approach a lot of this the golf betting is uh, I'd rather like give out a lot more Top 10s top 20 got you.
Oh, this guy's the one that's earned it Yeah, yeah, dude because I mean it's fun every now and then to Look for the new one that he's off and find that Find a winner, but if you play five guys to win. Yeah, the odds are very different But only one of them can win you got five or six guys to finish the top 10 of top 20 You can win every one of those decks now sure the odds aren't it's great, but uh It certainly seems like a more a safer prudent way of getting on golf and then one matchup that I like to speak One player I should say in terms of feeding uh, there were a bunch of matchups out there with chiral haten I think tony fina might have been one of them above a watson petric cantley the deck he maxing on I think we're all Um match up with throw hat and I think haten's a guy who has never played well in a dusty He's never broken 70 in around mr. Cutton I think he's finished 56 and 44th and those head to heads are four guys who all bring good current form in here All bring good course history of the guster in here. So all four of those guys.
I think it's like favorites In the mattress, but I think haten someone who hasn't really shown an affinity for a guster He's not the longest hitter in the world and if the course is damped soggy He could be hit muzions when a lot further back and put him in a dispatch Uh one thing I one other guy. So it's gonna it's gonna hurt someone It's gonna hurt a guy like web Simpson who's a great second shot player, but he's not super long off He's gonna hurt a guy like Carol hat and it's not super long off He's gonna hurt a guy like Kevin kiss never who talks as well as anybody on tour, but he's not he's not long off at all either So I think you're gonna see a lot of uh angling towards some of the longer hitters especially early in the week when these fairways are not Uh When the fairways that I should say are are pretty damp Yeah, you know what I fall in love with is is the updated odds to win a tournament like on saturday morning I'd love being able to grab guys then. I know you're not getting the price that you would be at the beginning in terms of what you know You're in the hunt. Um, I can't believe we did a whole segment and we didn't mention the defending champion Uh, but I was actually gonna look and see what he was to make the cut because that would be an interesting Uh prop.

It was on daily wager on We were talking about that and how I was approaching tiger and I said like I don't probably sound terrible But I'm just kind of ignoring him like oh, uh, he's not gonna win. I don't think he's gonna finish in the top 10 I'm not sure he's gonna finish in the top 20 Uh, he has he knows his course well enough where he's kind of get around it and likely make the cut I don't know who he's matched up and heads with so that might be some guys to to look at opposing him and head to heads But like I'm just kind of It's kind of like okay.
He's playing it's great. He won and but his form is I mean he beat three guys last week Um, yeah, I think he's finished better than 40 at once Uh since the uh since the restart or since wry In lchee back and damp weather. I don't know. I would expect him to To make the cut just because of how and the cuts never to see by the way, yeah top 50 right?
Yeah, 50 and Ty which is good because it had been Too many people who made it. It was basically your your former champion so and your amateurs who weren't making the cuts basically everybody was making so it's good that they kind of narrowed down a little bit This year. Yes or no holding one minus 225 is yes. Yeah, they'll build someone right someone on someone I'm not going on 16 on something.
