Send a textSimply put, safety matters! Unfortunately, all too often safety becomes a priority only after an accident has happened, and at that point it may be a little late to be compliant – sort of like closing the barn door after the horse is gone as they say. Safety also instantly becomes a priority for some club managers only when inspectors arrive at their door to follow up on a call from a disgruntled team member who is not comfortable with the level of safety being provided for them in their work environment. That being said, it’s important for diligent club owners and operators to prepare for the worst and put solid systems, processes, and procedures in place for our team members to follow when they’re working to prevent accidents and injuries from ever happening in the first place.  Owners and operators also need to understand how they are required to adhere to the laws and regulations that are in place, and ensure that they are providing training for staff so that they can contribute to a safe workplace culture regardless of which department at your club they work in. So, what’s that…you don’t have a safety program you say?
