What Exactly Does True Freedom Look Like?

I was thinking about the idea of freedom this morning. This came about because I was somewhat dreading a family obligation. I slept for shit last night. I’m tired, worn down, and somewhat burned out. The 80 hours or so that I spend on Substack and all that comes with growing a movement can be brutal. I’m blessed to do this for a living, but it comes with a trade-off. A self-imposed, undgodly amount of hours I put into it to succeed. But that’s freedom, to me. I don’t have to do this part-time. I’m not working for some dick-slap who doesn’t value me and only uses me to earn his/her company money. I’m very happy working for myself, even if I put in too much unpaid overtime.
